Parents Weekend Brunch - Sunday morning in the park

Harvey didn't have too much trouble arranging the brunch in the park. Between the help of the rest of the StuCo members and oddly enough, Marshall (apparently he had a thing for brunch), Harvey hardly had to do a thing. And isn't that what being president is really about?

There was a harvest theme in the tent, with the tablecloths and napkins all in reds, yellows and oranges. Marshall even hand-made the autumn-themed centerpieces on the tables. There was also, of course, every kind of brunch food imaginable set up at the buffet table. There was probably even foods there that didn't even qualify as brunch. Harvey had a hankering for pizza earlier.

A sign was posted outside the tent:

"Oh, that sounds cool. I'll definitely have to meet them," said Hoshi. "I have Captain Archer for the weekend."

Then, re-thinking her words, she blushed. "I mean, he's here to see me. Not that he's mine of anything."

Robin now wanted to tell Hoshi about Beatrice. But this wasn't the place. That would make him sad and he didn't want to be sad anymore.

"He's thrilled to see the captain," said Hoshi. "Actually, he belongs to Captain Archer in the first place. I just offered to take him while the captain was away."

"He was on a Vulcan ship to learn from them," said Hoshi. "The Earth-based ships won't be ready for a while. The engine doesn't work yet."

"Anyway, I let him take Porthos for the weekend," said Hoshi. "His girlfriend back home is allergic to dogs."

Though she didn't realize it, Hoshi was totally frowning when she mentioned the captain's girlfriend.

Robin noticed the frown, and felt a tiny twinge. But not as much as he'd have expected.
