The beach, after sunset Saturday
It was Chuck Bass's birthday and by god Blair was going to throw him a party.
By the time sunset arrived a section of the beach had been turned into a party zone. Green silk curtains had been hung up to help define the party space (and provide some privacy for anyone who wanted it). There were tables of food and drinkentirely moddable which included Chuck's favorites and product-placed Vitamin Water as well as the birthday cake.
Music was playing, fires were lit to help keep things warm - all in all not a bad little birthday party on the beach.
All that remained was the party goers and the birthday boy.

Re: Mingle!
"How do I cast illusions? With Craft. I'm a witch," she explained. "I thought I'd mentioned that last night...?" She wasn't going to say for certain. She was just glad to remember meeting Emma, forget remembering what they talked about. "In Kaeleer, where I'm from, every woman of the Blood is a witch."
Re: Mingle!
"You did the - " she waved her hands to indicated the suddenly appearing wine - "but I didn't realize you actually meant magic."
"My friend Hank says that my powers are science. Or are from science. Hank doesn't make sense half of the time, unfortunately, but he's quite brilliant. Just a bit, well, scrambled."
Re: Mingle!
"And what is science? Is it related to Ben's electronics?"
Re: Mingle!
She cleared her throat and shook her head. "Electronics are from a science, yes," Emma confirmed. "And I do. I can read minds, and sometimes I can make people do what I want."
Re: Mingle!
"I can send my thoughts on threads to be heard by others, I can enter unprotected minds or minds that are protected by barriers weaker than mine, and I can also create tangled webs to create illusions or to convince people of things. That is part of being a Black Widow."
She'd leave being a Healer and a Queen for another discussion. Explaining what a Queen is in Kaeleer always took awhile.
Re: Mingle!
"I don't know where my power comes from, or how I got it. Hank says it's mine, that I'm special, and I'll take his word for it."
Re: Mingle!
"So...Emma?" Karla cleared her throat awkwardly. "How much do you remember of last night?"
Re: Mingle!
"Why? What did we do?" Emma didn't doubt they'd done something, the only question was what.
Re: Mingle!
She made a face. "And if you think my wine was harsh, you should definitely avoid Leda's Mad River water. That's what got me so badly!" She shook her head. "Dark-Jeweled Black Widows aren't even supposed to be able to get drunk."
Re: Mingle!
"I think, if no one confronts us, we should be fine. I vaguely remember flirting with Jack Priest last night, but I can't remember when, and I don't think I made a fool of myself."
Re: Mingle!
Karla paused. One day, perhaps she'd ask Emma to teach her to flirt. Not that she'd ever want to, of course! But the skill might come in handy sometime.
But 'one day' was certainly not 'today.' Karla was going to have to know Emma a lot better, and be a lot more drunk.
