The beach, after sunset Saturday
It was Chuck Bass's birthday and by god Blair was going to throw him a party.
By the time sunset arrived a section of the beach had been turned into a party zone. Green silk curtains had been hung up to help define the party space (and provide some privacy for anyone who wanted it). There were tables of food and drinkentirely moddable which included Chuck's favorites and product-placed Vitamin Water as well as the birthday cake.
Music was playing, fires were lit to help keep things warm - all in all not a bad little birthday party on the beach.
All that remained was the party goers and the birthday boy.
[ocd is up!]

Re: Mingle!
"I wouldn't be able to tell you much; just what the tourists talked about while they were eating at Ringos. I never got to travel up there, really."
Re: Mingle!
[AFK for lunch and geekery! SP = ♥]
Re: Mingle!
She'd never had it, unfortunately.
[enjoy geekery!]
Re: Mingle!
"Supposed to be? You weren't fond of it?"
Re: Mingle!
"My Mother didn't want us having it and our manager was kind of a jerk."
Re: Mingle!
Re: Mingle!
"I've never had pizza. I've never had a lot of things."
She shrugged.
"Food isn't really all that important to me, I guess."
Especially not now.
Re: Mingle!
"Why's that?"
Re: Mingle!
"I can't eat anything. Everything tastes of sawdust to me and it doesn't actually do me any good."
She looked away.
"I know it's weird, even for this place."
Re: Mingle!
Re: Mingle!
"Do you really think that?"
Re: Mingle!
Unless you're Karev and a complete bastard.
Re: Mingle!
"Are you different, Griff?" she asked with a little smile. Part teasing, but she was also curious.
Re: Mingle!
Re: Mingle!
"If you don't want to say, just say 'I'd rather not say'," she told him, and though she was a little annoyed, her tone was still somewhat gentle.
"We've all got secrets, I suspect. Friends should be able to respect that. I know I will."
Re: Mingle!
"It's more a matter of safety and following the rules." Rules made by dead people. "What I do--I haven't tried it here."
Re: Mingle!
"My whole life was decided by 106 rules that mean that talking to anyone here makes me look like an idiot half the time. They were in place so that my brother and I weren't found and killed outright.
"So I get it."
She wanted him to know that, that she took it seriously.
"If you don't want to tell me, like I said: you don't have to. I just figure you saying 'I don't think I can tell you' is a lot better than you looking uncomfortable and giving me stupid vague non-answers. Do you get what I'm saying?"
She breathed out.
"I'm assuming it's because of the squirrels, right?"
Re: Mingle!
"I think I would. But I'd have to show you, and we'd need to not be near any bloody drunken squirrels to do it. My thing. Not it it. 'S not like that." He wanted to smack himself for rambling in his nervousness.
Re: Mingle!
"All right. Well, we could try and find a secluded spot on the beach another night," she offered.
"There wouldn't really be anyplace for a squirrel to hide there that we couldn't see."
Re: Mingle!
Re: Mingle!
"That should probably be on a sunny day, though. Unless you want to use a lot of graphite."
Re: Mingle!
"You free tomorrow night?" Get the jumping done before he could see reason.
Re: Mingle!
"I go to the Fight Club on Sunday evenings, but I'm sure we could do it before or after that. I'm not even sure I'm going to spar with anyone."
She blushed a little.
"It's been an interesting week."
Re: Mingle!
Re: Mingle!
She spread her hands.
"I'm always willing to try someone for a spar."
