Caritas- Saturday
Jaina was not quite herself today, so she would not be opening up the bar. On Monday she was going to have withdrawals from having gone this long without showing up to work.
Tino, however, was completely himself today, and he was looking oh so pleased about having to be here on a day everyone had gone insane again.
...Maybe he'd get a hookup from someone who didn't know any better. That made him feel better.
[Mod Tino for all your drunken-AU-hookups-that-you'll-regret-on-Monday needs!]

Re: Bar
"How about a discount?" he said to Tino. "My name's Commander Shepard, and this could be my favorite bar on the island. An endorsement might help sales."
Tino had none of it. But he did serve Shepard a beer.
Shepard just shrugged. "It works on the Citadel," he said.
Re: Bar
As she sat on the barstool, the words came out of her unbidden, before she could even think to change them. "I'd like a cold, refreshing, never bitter Coors Lite."
When she realized what she'd said, she'd thumped her fist on the bar.
"Curse you, younger than normal Jethro Gibbs and your sawdust swagger!"
But, oh, just wait until you actually drank it, Angua. Just you wait.

Re: Bar
He'd spent his second week holed up in his hotel room getting drunk on bootlegged French rum and ignoring a parade of phone calls from home.
Now? Well, he was out of rum (oh god, he was going to have to pay full price for rum again. That was depressing) and getting a little tired of the same four walls. So to the pub it was, to grab a pint and stare at some different walls for a change.
Re: Bar
By the time she made it to the bar, she was nothing if not cranky (kind of a default state for her lately) and disorientated.
Two minutes and a threat of removing bollocks, and Tasha had her drink and Tino was well up the other end of the bar.

Re: Bar
Smiling in a naturally flirtatious way, he'd ordered a microbrew and frowned when Tino set a Coors in front of him. "Well, here's to trying something new!"

Re: Bar
"Ageing."
He looked around at anyone who was listening. He might be rambling at Tino. Or the person next to him. Or really any person in the bar. It was tough to tell.
"It's just as important to beer as it is to wine. Aging gives beer something called "balance". Just the right combination of flavors and aromas," he declared as he observed how the light struck that beautiful mug of beer.
"Now Coors thinks aging is so important that it ages its beer longer than any other major brewer. They use that time to age out a lot of the heaviness and a lot of the bitter aftertaste you'll find in other beers. So when you want a beer that's a little smoother with all the spirit of a great beer.... Coors is the one."
It was an impressive speech. One that would have gone a lot better if Tino hadn't been sick of all the "Coors" talk from before.
He had poured Not!Gibbs a Bud Light.

He ordered a wine, made a face at the quality, then settled back to observe the denizens of his new environment. Mostly, he wanted to know who the richest were.

"Barkeep," the horse called to Tino. "Gimme something in a bucket. And put a little umbrella in it. I love those little umbrellas."
He was still wearing a jaunty hat.

Re: Bar
He did have some more fitting modern clothes, though. Something about being laughed at on the street had gotten him out of the bathrobe and into a shirt and jeans.
And a tavern was, thankfully, about the same here as everywhere, once he selectively ignored the electric lights. He ordered a bottle of red wine with plans for many more and scoped out his chances for finding a companion for the evening.

Now he was hoping to find either a beer, or a brawl. Or even both.
Beer procured, he studied the rest of the patrons carefully. And the zombies. They would bear watching.

Tino didn't actually care if he was legal, so it was rather successful.
James took his drink and
boggledadmired thescandalouslyinterestingly attired women.Re: Bar
Where was this town? She didn't usually go wandering off with strange girls. She hadn't been able to find her way back to campus all day. And Karen and Jeannie weren't answering the house phone.
Fuck it. Linda was going to drink and scope the crowd for girls.
And if someone slapped her for it, that must be her absent hook-up from last night.
Re: Bar
handwavilybeen out exploring and trying to find out what she could about this strange place, she figured that the bar was the next best option and she could find out more information that way.She ordered a drink and scanned over the crowd.
