The Beach, Friday Evening

The weather was being kind - perhaps unnaturally so. There was a large gap in the clouds right above Fandom island, sending sunlight streaming down even as the sun made its way towards the horizon.

Perfect time for a beach party. More or less. The organizers were just happy the date they'd picked and put on all the invites looked like it was turning out sunny, okay?

There were coolers with lemonade and... other things, there were beach balls and there was sand: perfect excuse for a party, right?

That's what a party is for, of course, even if it involves a little more sand sticking to everything this time around.

Korra was there, Naga more or less at her heels. The more or less depending on if she thought she could snag some unattended food or not.

Ben was there, mostly to see if Tiny Luke and Leia were going to make an appearance than because he wanted to make things awkward for his students.

Was he making things awkward? Kriff. Would having a drink make it less awkward or more?

Sometimes Ben shouldn't be left unsupervised with his own thoughts...

Ender made it out to the beach after some time, though he was hardly a party animal and intended to leave within the hour.

He sat down on the sand and took a few moments for himself.

But just because he was married didn't mean he was dead and yes, thank you, he would enjoy seeing the beach attire of this dimension!

Gert and Old Lace were here, sure.

It was dumb that they were one the beach, if you asked, well, one member of that pair, but Old Lace thought sand was awesome, and when it was a matter of the deinonychus' enjoyment, Gert didn't really get a say.

Sam had just been telling Kaidan about how terribly anti-social she had been all week, apart from her encounter with Éponine, so today she was here on the beach attempting to mingle. Wearing a dress and sandals instead of her usual uniform, even. Gosh.

There was badness in Sunnydale again, and Tara could only hide in bathrooms while the Scoobies argued for so long before getting out of town seemed like a much better idea. The reunion was lucky timing.

So there she was, sipping a lemonade and occasionally checking her phone just in case Willow had sent her an update.

Really, Jono had had a mind to actually just get out and take a walk along the beach this evening. Something calm and quiet and not at all like the hectic pace of the war that Glacia was gearing up to.

He'd almost been tempted to turn and walk the other way when he realized there was some sort of function going on further up the beach, but he was half-starved for some happy faces, and so, in spite of his general tendency to shy away from human interaction and parties like this, he pressed on forward to investigate.

Ah, there were alumni meandering about as well. Leave it to him to get so wrapped up in the affairs of another world that he missed the memo about something like this. And of course, in his long coat and the like, he was overdressed for the occasion.

Theo had been spending time skateboarding so it was pretty easy to hop off his board and hoof it towards the movement on the beach when he noticed it. When he realized it was a party, he couldn't have turned back if he tried. That was Dev's fault. As soon as he'd realized it was a party, he'd immediately started hollering and jumping up and down about needing some action and wanting to do something fun.

So, Theo was there and a little unsure of what to do. Ange assured him he didn't really need to do much at all so he just held his board under his arm and tried not to look too...dumb.

Raven was here, wearing -- or mimicking, rather -- a sweet little sundress she'd spotted online in one of her many long, confused surfing sessions during the week.

Lord help her if she ever discovered Pinterest. She would never be done trying out different clothing styles in the mirror.

Robin may not know many of the folks here, but he was very excited to be back in Fandom anyway. And you know what Muppets do when they get excited right? Well...that too. But! What they also do, is sing!

Luke was sitting awkwardly on the beach, if that helped anything? He had a drink and was soaking up the sun in the way only a desert kid could really enjoy something.

He also had an eye on Cade in the water. The last time they'd met, the kid had punched him without explaining anything and that had just be strange, even for here.

Emily dropped by for a moment before leaving the island.

She of course dropped by just to be antisocial, duh. Maybe there was one or two persons she wanted to talk to (or stalk) before leaving, maybe she just liked the beach.

Damn kids get off her beach.

Play volleyball, or go into the water if you're brave enough... it's pretty cold.

Late fall in Brazil didn't stop Kennedy from trying to hit the beach as often as possible, but it was definitely nicer in a summer climate.

She'd grabbed a volleyball and was tossing it up in the air, as far as she could throw it (which was pretty far with the Slayer strength and all), just because she was pretty sure she'd kill the ball if she actually tried to hit it.
