"No." Bo crossed her arms behind the bar and ignored the balloon Tiny was holding out to her. "I already told you my terms. The whole thing or no deal."

Tiny held up his phone in the other hand, then made a show of putting it away. Bo just shook her head.

"No. I don't care if you record me. I'm just not doing it without the quid pro quo." She reached out and bopped the balloon lightly. "Every. Single. Verse."

Which was why anyone visiting the bar tonight, including the guests at Warren and Karla's birthday party, would find themselves treated to a high-pitched -- and very long -- performance of I Am The Very Model Of A Modern Major-General from the huge guy in the leather vest.

Bo's performance, they'd have to be very good at searching YouTube (or know Tiny's username) to find, and also fast enough to get there before Bo filed the fake DMCA takedown notice. Or the obscenity one. She was still trying to decide which seemed more likely coming from Disney.

"Thank you." Hannibal gave her another bow and a smile. "What were in Columbia for?"

"Ah. My second job." Momoko smiled. "I had to retrieve some property from some people who shouldn't have had it."

She gave him a V sign and a wink. "They weren't happy about giving it up and I had to spend some time convincing them it was better to let me have it."

"I'm certain you can be very convincing," Hannibal told her with a chuckle. "You had no trouble, though?"

"Oh lots of trouble, but nothing I couldn't handle. That's why I was sent; they're not exactly the kind of people that respond to a nicely worded letter. And there's no way they were going to be able to just ship the, uhm. Property? Across national boundaries. Those things shouldn't even be in government hands."

She rolled up a sleeve and showed the doctor her left elbow... which was still glowing a faint purple. "This was just from exposure."

Hannibal blinked at that and looked to her for permission to examine her arm. "Is it harmful?"

Momoko was totally not used to people asking permission, so it took her a moment to recognize it, sorry. "Ah! No, it's safe. At least now."

She moved her arm so he could see it better. "My boss ran all kinds of tests; don't worry. And it's fading more every day. My whole side was glowing when I came back."

Not asking would be rude!

Hannibal eyed the glow curiously. "Do you know what it is?"

Momoko studied the glow for a moment. "Not really? We think they've been altering the weapons to make them work better in Earth's environment and that's causing strange side effects."

Hannibal shook his head. "Well, I would ask you to be more careful, but I have the feeling you already are. I'm pleased you made it out safely."

"I totally am! I have a boyfriend, a cat, and two crabs to come home to," Momoko gave him a V sign. "It totally helps that I'm still new in that world; seeing me show up confuses the bad guys- they don't know what I can do."

"It's often useful to keep people guessing," Hannibal acknowledged. "And that sounds like a very good reason to be safe - you wouldn't want the crabs getting upset."

Because crabs?

Because they were cute!

Momoko snickered. "When I'm gone for too long, they burrow into the sand and hide. I suspect Moshi threeatens them or something. He doesn't share well."

"Moshi is the boyfriend or the cat?" Hannibal asked, smirking.

That caused a small fit of giggles. Sorry.

"Depends on who you ask," Momoko finally managed. "Moshi is my cat, though he totally thinks he runs the house. You kind of met Jaime, my boyfriend, in Glacia? He was the shy little boy who was off exploring, speaking Spanish a lot, and drinking cocoa all the time. He also helped us save the unicorns."

Again, by himself.

"Cats generally do, or so I'm told," Hannibal answered with a smile. He cast back through his memories and thought he could vaguely remember the young man in question. "Not a crab-terrorizer, then?" He asked, still teasing.

"No. He hasn't even made a threat to try to eat them. Totally more than I can say for Moshi."

"I shall make a note: no bringing crab to your house," Hannibal said. "We wouldn't want him getting a taste for it."

"Eh?! Not fair! I like crab!" She was Japanese, remember. "And you can't get it anywhere in El Paso!" Well, not done right.

Hmm. "Just, not kabutogani crab."

"Not anywhere?" Hannibal shook his head. "In that case, just no kabutogani," he promised. "Perhaps crab and cucumber sunomono?"

Could you hear the drooling, Doctor?

"Well, nowhere I can afford to eat. We're like, totally a desert, here, remember? They don't eat lots of seafood. Besides, restaurant food never tastes as good as homemade."

"On that I will definitely agree," Hannibal answered with a smile.

Plus they didn't generally serve his preferred dishes.
