Impromptu Labor Day Beach Cookout, The Beach, Monday afternoon

It was the last day of the reunion and Jessica figured she needed to take a moment alone. Get some solitude, a place to be with her thoughts for a little bit, in a quiet place. The beach would work. Have some white noise from the water, what could possibly be more relaxing.

When she got there, food was already on the grill, the volleyball net was set up, and a pig was sitting next to a spit, eating from a trough. There had to be a story there. And wait, who started grilling food on a beach only to leave it, and a pig? If this was Fandom magic, it was really weird Fandom magic.

Anyway, alone-time apparently wasn't happening. She could settle for some BBQ as long as she avoided anything that might have come from that pig's family.

Plenty of meat and veggies have been grilled up along with other moddable cookout fare. And there's several coolers with water, soda, juices, and so on. One of the coolers had adult beverages, but it was kind of in the back and hard to find.

There's a volleyball court on the sand and some Frisbees laying around in case anyone wanted something active to do.

I'm staring at loading bars on my computer all day, so I am on my iPad and will almost certainly be slow! Especially as I try playing different characters.

Kitty wanted some beach time on Labor Day, and she was in a weird (not bad) mood after yesterday, so she'd come down and-

"Oh thank god, I didn't want to set one up myself."

Brooke found the adult beverages immediately, but that was because she was a) looking for them, and b) Brooke. So she had one in hand and was happy to enjoy the sun. Not many beaches in Manhattan, you know.

Hermione had actually come out of her hotel room after the disaster that was Saturday, and found an area on the beach where she could sit, and be confused about the pig running around. Student, maybe?

Jaina had never played, but she'd seen ~~the meta for~~ Top Gun and knew how this worked, shirtlessness aside. So she grabbed the ball and tried spiking it over the net.

"I'm too short for this," she muttered.

FYI, my characters will be slow because I have my own cookout today but I will be phone pinging as much as possible!

Peyton was happy to spend her last day in Fandom at the beach. Good food, sunshine, and one last chance to see old friends.

Aww, Buffy might actually miss this place this time around. Plus she wasn't looking forward to the portal back to everyone else, so she would take advantage of her time here while she could, looking for anyone she might have missed so far.

Bellamy was aware that there was a glut of people on the island but he didn't care that much to figure out why.

He'd stripped his shirt off, tossing it aside so the sun could beat down on his tan shoulders. The adult beverages were his second stop and then he sat down in the sand and stretched his long legs out.

Jaye was eyeing the pig. As a habit, she sort of expected it to talk to her, alive or not.

...Speaking of which, let's hear it for no weird voices telling her to do stuff this weekend!

It had been nice visiting Fandom, but Lana had to admit she missed home and her job a bit. Still, she'd be home soon enough. For today she could sit on the beach and catch up with any old friends she hadn't seen yet.

Mercy was all over a day at the beach to relax, have sone good food, and catch up with old friends.

The mini-invasion yesterday had meant that Billy had kept his kids safe and sound and BORED in the hotel all day yesterday so he was very pleased to take them down to the beach today.

"Don't drown." he ordered them. "Ana makes sure Tommy doesn't drown. If he digs up any buried treasure, let me know."

Frank stood near the coolers, drinking an aggressively adult beverage. It didn't come from a cooler. He brought his own, naturally. If he'd learned anything the past few days, it was that this school tended to skimp on the booze.

Mitchell wasn't really a beach person. Blame the vampirism.

Still, he was hovering near the closest thing that resembled shade with his sunglasses perched firmly on his nose.

Jeff sank down in the sand. He was still wearing his all-Hawaiian-print outfit.

"I'd like to go back to the Lesbians now," he said.

Kieran, being a child and inquisitive, had gone for the soda to figure out what it was. But a look from his mother had him with a plate of veggies and some juice while Morrigan arranged her skirts around herself, set her staff to the side, and indulged in some grilled meats.

The Orlesians simply did not understand how to grill meat properly.

Jake was actually starting to look forwards to going back. To Battleworld. It was possible that he'd rethink that in a couple of months, but right now, it was home and it had coffee and Krycek.

Still, he was at the cookout in case there were somebody new or old he hadn't run into yet.

"You, like, totally aren't. You just need to get your energy going." Where else was Minako going to be? IT WAS VOLLEYBALL.

"Warm up a bit first," she suggested, grabbing one of the balls laying around and bumping it up in the air. "It's way easier to spike once the ball is moving and so are you."

BEACH PARTY!!!!!!! Because where else was Minako gonna be this weekend, seriously? Food, sand, volleyball... it was, like, all of her favorite things in one big package!

Cable had no intention of being here for long, but Deadpool was watching Jan at the moment. He had the time to stroll in and consider those gathered.

He had files on at least a couple of them.

Eventually, he'd drift towards the food, largely to pick up some for Wade. For the moment, he was people-watching.

Tyler found the hard-to-find cooler and stood around awkwardly. He didn't look completely old and out of place,did he?
