Reno was moving, and Ghanima turned, leaving behind his ghosts as she followed him over the edge of the ramp, leaping off the side--

And she touched down on the solid ground of Fandom's woods; no slide, no plate, no faceless minions of torment.

"Well done," she said, standing up to brush the dirt from her robes. "Now, let us get you out of the woods and to the clinic. I did not poison my blades--" for once "--but who knows what side-effects you may be suffering from being stabbed by demonic phantoms."

"Heh, yeah," Reno replied, straightening himself up and dusting himself off. He was a mess. He could sleep for a month and he was still bleeding in far too many places. There were almost certainly a few things broken in there that he'd have to get checked out, and he was out of potions. "A clinic trip sounds like friggin' luxury right now, I gotta say."

Pride and sheer stubbornness were basically the only things keeping him upright, but they'd probably at the very least get him that far.

He was quiet for a moment more before glancing at Ghanima and adding, "... Thanks."

"I only reminded you of things you already knew, you simply needed a little kick to remember," Ghanima teased, giving him a half smile.

She reached into the skirts of her robe, pulling out a small waterskin and offering it to him. "Though clearly, a little bit of a reminder of what you have learned clearly would not be remiss. That first attack was reckless and inefficient. Four a.m. training, daily, until I decide otherwise."

That was Ghani for 'you're welcome.'

"Four a.m. training," Reno agreed, accepting the waterskin and taking a deep pull from it before handing it back. "Looks like I'm in need of a refresher course after all."

Something else to get up for in the mornings.

He'd take it.
