Barton-Pryde Baby Shower, The Onsen - Monday Afternoon

The Onsen was decorated in tastefully gender neutral pastel greens and yellows with a sign directing guests of the shower to where they were meant to go. And, for a change, the island wasn't doing something strange to mess up a party!

...no one point out that just saying that was jinxing things. Just go on in and enjoy the party, hoping that no nefarious brotherhood of evil anythings showed up.

"I'm sure he won't," Kitty assured him. "Sometimes these things are normal. At my wedding all we had was Logan and Clint's brother getting into a fight, and that wasn't even at the wedding."

"And that's practically normal for a wedding." Family members getting into a fistfight? Normal. Mole people attacking? Less normal.

"I mean, no X-Men have tried to kill each other at any wedding I've ever been at," Kitty tried.

Which was not to say it hadn't ever happened, but she was taking what she could get.

"I still remember the collateral damage at Reed and Sue's wedding," Tony said with a little sigh. "I'm eloping if it ever happens. All to avoid that."

"I'm sure that should help," Kitty said, not actually sure it would do much good, but she was trying to be supportive here.

"I'd hope so, but... villains."

Odds were that he'd get yet anther alien queen showing up to demand to marry him mid-ceremony.

Tony's face went through an interesting mix of emotions at that. "I just pictured him making magical balloon animals for some reason."

"Like regular animals, but trippier."

"That's it, I'm inviting him to her first birthday party," Kitty decided.

Possibly also end with a trip to some eldritch plane of existence, but that just built character!
