Post-3MD Caritas, Saturday
Well, it wasn't as if Caritas was going to close right after the dates! The night was still so young that it was practically prepubescent, and so there was plenty of time for people to stick around and talk some more with the dates they'd most liked - or to talk to some of the people they hadn't been matched with.
Caritas was (still) open, please buy lots to drink.

Re: Bar (11/03)
But now it was done, and she was left just nursing her green apple soda, almost awkwardly.
That good old disconnect from other people rearing its ugly head again.
[ooc: SP likely, but come bother her all the same!]
Re: Bar (11/03)
She sighed as the glass was placed in front of her and threw it back.
"Another one."
Re: Bar (11/03)
But people she didn't know sucked.
People she did know kind of sucked, too, but that wasn't the point. They sucked slightly less.
She didn't know the Saturday bartender and she wanted to stab Tino in the face, so she didn't know how this was going to go over, but she was leaning on her usual faintly Rosa-shaped grove in the bar as she said, "Yeah, I'm gonna need a Diaz tonight."
She tried not to take advantage of the build-in free-drink thing because somehow Kitty thought that was a good idea, and she liked Kitty, but there were clearly emergencies that warranted it.
Re: Bar (11/03)
"If you don't want it, I'll finish it. This is was really fucking pointless."
Re: Bar (11/03)
"What is with all these people that should know better thinking I'd ever say no to tequila?"
Seriously, people.
Rosa snorted, rolling her eyes Seivarden's way. "Glad to see you're a fan, though."

Or maybe that much of a bordering alcoholic.
But the she snorted and shook her head a little. "Kitty had this one night where she gave everyone the chance to make their own drinks or make one and name it for someone else. I made the Diaz. Whiskey and Coke and exactly five...or maybe it was four?...ice cubes, I can't even remember anymore."

But at least it was a red letter day for Venom.

"Sure, coming right up," he said, like he'd actually heard that order before. (At once, for one person - so, no, he hadn't.) "Good dates?"

He settled back at the bar to look around at the survivors, a coke in hand that might or might not have had rum in it.
(It did not. He was being good.)

Um...
Panic? There had been panic. About a moment of delighted girl talk about Vette and Sidon, and there had been something about Lana's encouragement that had made something in Vette's brain break, and now Vette was sitting at the bar with... Well, it had strawberries in it, but it also had bite, she wasn't sure what it was called or anything, she was just really invested in it, because if she was invested in her drink, she wouldn't be climbing into her own head and freaking out some more.
Re: Bar (11/03)
"Vette," he greeted, "Everything ok?"

And so a little bit later, there was a large Zora leaning on on the bar, which he felt worked surprisingly well to getting him comfortably closer despite his height, greeting her with every single one of his sharp teeth on display in a grin and looking far, far to pleased with himself.
"I am positively ecstatic," he announced, "to report that, after some extensive and grueling research, my initial prediction has proven itself to be undeniably true. Out of the five absolutely splendid and lovely dates I had the sheer honor of pursuing, it is categorically conclusive that the best of them all was the one with..."
He paused for dramatic effect, though the softening and brightening of his expression should make it all pretty clear.
"...you."

Re: Lounge (11/03)
He found his way to the lounge, found a seat in a corner with a good view of the exit. Slouched into it like he was deflating. The Radler's was set on the table and he leaned back to examine the ceiling for a bit.
It.. hadn't gone too badly, all things considered? He knew most of the people he'd sat with. Hernando had gone full meat-market but Kaidan knew that was just to make him blush.
Which it had, damnit. His face still felt hot.
Not that Hernando wouldn't cheerfully drag him off to a lair, but they'd already had the conversation about boundaries and even tonight hadn't bent them. He smiled a little. Payback was a thing. He wasn't sure how, but somehow, some way, someday, he would make Hernando blush in public. Then he would get it on video to treasure forever. Yes. Good. A plan. He felt better now that he had a plan.
God, he wished this wasn't a non-alcoholic drink.
Re: Lounge (11/03)
"How did your other dates go?" Hernando asked with a sip of his own highly alcoholic drink, "Did you meet anyone interesting? Have any phone numbers slipped to you?"

Re: Lounge (11/03)
Three Minute Dates, the sign had said. He wasn't sure how much of a date one could have in three minutes, but everyone was a bit too busy to ask. So he'd settled in to the lounge to wait. He'd spotted some familiar faces in the crowd (and a number of unfamiliar ones, too, actually)- maybe someone would be willing to tell him how the event had gone?
Re: Lounge (11/03)
"Aw, did you just get here?" she asked, thinking she didn't remember seeing him at any of the tables. "You missed all the fun. Kind of a shame, really."
