Homecoming Carnival, The Park, Friday

The weather had been kind, and it was just the right amount of cool for a Halloween-themed Homecoming carnival. The booths and activities were ready for visitors, and the Halloween decorations and spooooky music playing everywhere aimed to set the right kind of mood for everyone.

Yes, there was also black and orange glitter everywhere, because of course there was. Feel free to take some home with you, because it's going to be difficult not to!

Goose didn’t know why he’d signed up for this, he hadn’t done any of the booths when he was a student and in his first year as a teacher and he’d sign up for Pie Tossing.

Since he also didn’t have many clothing options, he decided it was just easier to not have a shirt on for this so there was now a 7 foot tall shirtless Supertrooper in a pie tossing booth.

Jo had been over by the dunk tanks and now she went to the pie tossing booth because she wasn’t going by the kissing booths no.

She stared blankly at her engineering teaching, because he didn’t have a shirt on and she was definitely not used to this…”um…hello Mr Gooseman,” she squeaked and went bright red.

Goose was not used to that reaction, even though admittedly he also wasn't used to being a teacher either, "hello Jo," he said with a small smile.

"Hi..." she squeaked out and then she tried to focus on why she was even at the booth, "um..." she got one of the pies and tried not to stare too much at his chest, which was kind of hard because he was really tall and she threw the pie.

Was Alara perhaps pushing her luck after breaking into teachers offices this week, yes most likely but she couldn’t resist seeing her engineering teacher in a pie booth, “Mr Gooseman,” she grinned.

"Hello Alara," he sighed, noticing that grin and that she didn't seem as awkward as Jo had been.

Alara's grin widened and then she picked up the pie and threw it as hard as she could at him.

"Goose? Hello." Jon nodded to him.

This made three times they'd met and twice he'd been shirtless. It was starting to be a pattern.

It was becoming a pattern wasn’t it, at least this time it wasn’t because he’d woken up in Jon’s apartment after being a cat all weekend?

“Hello Jon,” Goose nodded back in response, “how’s your day been going?”

"Ah...wet." Jon huffed in laughter. "Apparently I was signed up for the dunk tank. I hope yours isn't going badly."

“Well two of my students came by,” Goose said with a smile, “one of the girls is stronger than she looks, so that was interesting …haven’t managed to get hit in the face though,” funny how that was when the only other person on the island taller than you was a 9 foot Shark. “I don’t know why I let myself get talked into it though, maybe I’m getting used to it here…” which was a really strange feeling.

"It seems like a place it's easy to get comfortable in," Jon observed. "Still, at least you actually chose this."

“I did consider the dunk tanks but went with this one,” Goose admitted, “I think pie tossing was the better option, I never did anything like this when I was student, I wasn’t exactly the most social then,” well he still wasn’t really but he was working on it.

"And I ended up in the dunk tank," Jon said. "Although I think I mind it less than I would this, so I suppose there's something for everyone."
