Homecoming Carnival, The Park, Friday

The weather had been kind, and it was just the right amount of cool for a Halloween-themed Homecoming carnival. The booths and activities were ready for visitors, and the Halloween decorations and spooooky music playing everywhere aimed to set the right kind of mood for everyone.

Yes, there was also black and orange glitter everywhere, because of course there was. Feel free to take some home with you, because it's going to be difficult not to!

Dwight made it a point to make a quick round before he had to head to his booth and he couldn't hold back a small chuckle when he saw Irene.

"Well, hadn't expected to see you in this booth" he said eyeing the pies that were lined up and then looking back to Irene. "Signed up willingly? Or are you also a victim in all of this?"

"I don't know if anyone signed themselves up," Irene had to remark with a sigh. "Maybe Amaya."

Bringing cutlery certainly sent a message, anyway.

"You make a good point there" Dwight mused for a moment as he looked to the booth next door. "Though, for you... how about we just skip the pie throwing this time... our little secret" he said with a smirk as he pulled out a few bills and slipped them into the jar.

"That is remarkably kind of you," Irene noted, lifting a brow. Kinder than she would be, certainly! And kinder than, like, anyone else was going to be to her. Poor Irene. "It's at least rather yummy pie, from what I remember."

"They give you actual pies??? Every time I was ever in a pie toss booth it was just pans of shaving cream!". Dwight was suddenly wishing he had signed up for pies.

"Whipped cream," Irene assured him, looking a little alarmed. "I'd feel much worse about it if these were, you know, cherry or pumpkin pies, or whatever. Or meat pie, god forbid."

Gross. Gravy everywhere.

"Well that's good. Get a tasty bit of a rearward at least for getting pie to the face" Dwight pointed out with a grin.
