Homecoming Carnival, The Park, Friday

The weather had been kind, and it was just the right amount of cool for a Halloween-themed Homecoming carnival. The booths and activities were ready for visitors, and the Halloween decorations and spooooky music playing everywhere aimed to set the right kind of mood for everyone.

Yes, there was also black and orange glitter everywhere, because of course there was. Feel free to take some home with you, because it's going to be difficult not to!

"A bit," Irene remarked dryly, digging into her purse for both money and her reddest lipstick, because obviously this had to be as hilarious as she could make it. "Just you wait until Christmas, darling."

"You're really gonna make me do the Santa thing aren't you?" Dwight asked with a chuckle.

He grabbed the glass bowl and slid it over to Irene with a smirk.

And in went her money, as she pulled out her phone to apply her lipstick. "I mean, I can't really make you do anything." Or, well, she could, but Dwight certainly didn't seem the type. At least not yet. Perhaps someday! "Lean close, dear, I'll be gentle."

Irene went for his cheek, of course, because having a big cartoon lipstick kiss on his cheek was just what Dwight needed, right?

She even gave it an exaggerated 'Mwah!' for emphasis. "There you go."

Dwight felt his face flush slightly, more so because of who just gave him a kiss rather than the kiss itself.

"Photo, love?" Irene prompted, given that she already had her phone out and with the camera facing front and everything. "To commemorate your very first Fandom carnival?"

Irene's first Fandom carnival had been much worse, for the record! No one had poisoned her today so it was already much better than that one.

Dwight wasn't going to say no. He wasn't blind after all. He had eyes. "Sure!" he said, a grin spreading across his face. "So long as I get a copy of it too" he added with a smirk as he leaned in closer again.

"Course," Irene promised, already intending to text it to him immediately. She leaned in, making sure that his be-lipsticked cheek would be visible. "Say 'kisses.'"

He did not have to say anything -- she was snapping the picture, anyway.
