Homecoming Carnival, The Park, Friday

The weather had been kind, and it was just the right amount of cool for a Halloween-themed Homecoming carnival. The booths and activities were ready for visitors, and the Halloween decorations and spooooky music playing everywhere aimed to set the right kind of mood for everyone.

Yes, there was also black and orange glitter everywhere, because of course there was. Feel free to take some home with you, because it's going to be difficult not to!

"An opportunity to see you all wet?" Eliot said as he sauntered up. "How can I pass this up?"

He was telekinetic. He would not be missing the target.

Using telekinesis was cheating. Which Gladio would only point out to give Eliot crap, not to actually complain.

But, as it was, he was just going to duck his head and gesture in a way befitting toward a king when sitting shirtless on a bench over a giant dunk tank, and say, "You're welcome."

Then a grin, jerking up his chin. "Let's see what you can do with that arm."

Eliot let out a delighted laugh. "I'm not sure that's appropriate, given the occasion, but I can at least show off how well I can throw."

His throwing arm wasn't terrible, but his accuracy was almost entirely magical in origin.

"I guess that'll be fine, then," Gladio grinned, then lift his chin again. "Let 'er rip. I was pretty much born ready."

Eliot smiled and worked a quick Declan's accuracy spell, and threw.

The ball smacked into the target like it had been born there.

And with that perfect hit, the bench gave way, and the Sheild of the Crown Prince of Lucis went plunging into the water in the tank with a splash that would not disappoint for his size.

And he came back up to the surface with a laugh, a shake of his head as if to shed off the excess water before smoothing his hair back against his head, and a grin. "That was...." he said, sounding impressed, "a helluva a shot, I gotta give you that one, Eliot."

"Why thank you." Eliot dropped into an elegant bow. "I do try."

Gladio pushed the bench back in place before using it to lift himself up out of the water to sit back down again, giving his head another shake, taking a moment for one of those sneezes to sneak back up on him, and got comfortable again.

"Thanks for the dunk," he said. "I'm here all day if that arm could use another good throw."

Eliot took a moment to just enjoy the view there.

“I’ll be sure to keep that in mind, Gladio.”
