Homecoming Carnival, The Park, Friday

The weather had been kind, and it was just the right amount of cool for a Halloween-themed Homecoming carnival. The booths and activities were ready for visitors, and the Halloween decorations and spooooky music playing everywhere aimed to set the right kind of mood for everyone.

Yes, there was also black and orange glitter everywhere, because of course there was. Feel free to take some home with you, because it's going to be difficult not to!

"Perk of being royalty" Dwight said simply. "Consider yourself lucky. At least there aren't any craft booths around" he added with a chuckle.

Being royalty hadn't helped keep him and Margo from being ghosts a few weeks ago.

"Was a popular thing back home at these kinds of things. Really big with the fundraisers and all. Dunking booths, kissing booths, cake bakes, art vendors ..." Dwight shrugged. "Just the kind of thing I'd have expected along with everything else."

"And you worry you'd be required to run one alongside everyone else?" Eliot tilted his head. "Are you particularly . . . crafty?"

"I've done them before and they usually are more hassle than they are worth. Back home it seemed every event the town threw had crafty stuff for sale. Course..." Dwight said after thinking for a moment. "There's usually more a demand for trinkets and small things at those kinds of shows. I specialize in woodworking mostly and usually things like furniture rather than crafty things."

"Yeah, these kinds of things are a lot better for impulse spending" Dwight said, waving vaguely to the booths and all. "Speaking of which, you dunked or pied anyone yet?"

"Not just yet. I'm . . . wending my way over there." He glanced over. "Anyone in particular I should keep an eye out for?"

"Eh, a few worth slinging and dunking here and there. A lot of teachers so there's that. Actually surprised how many guys ended up on this side, to be honest." Three Dwight. There were three guys in the kissing booths. That wasn't all that many.
