Homecoming Carnival, The Park, Friday

The weather had been kind, and it was just the right amount of cool for a Halloween-themed Homecoming carnival. The booths and activities were ready for visitors, and the Halloween decorations and spooooky music playing everywhere aimed to set the right kind of mood for everyone.

Yes, there was also black and orange glitter everywhere, because of course there was. Feel free to take some home with you, because it's going to be difficult not to!

"Jo is one of my students. She's from the 1950s," Jon explained. "I don't, um. I'm not particularly fond of being dunked, and I don't imagine my own aim would be anything to write home about, I'm just noting it for...for the record."

He didn't much fancy being let off lightly out of pity, either.

"So . . . you're actually telling me I throw like a little girl," Eliot said. He shook his head and tsked. "You're really tempting me to just dunk you."

Possibly without even throwing anything.

"...No, I-I was telling you that one specific girl threw marginally better than you just did one time," Jon said. "You do have a...a lot more power behind it, to be fair, but her aim was a little better. I'm not...not judging you about it, or anything."

Eliot's opinion on this was definitely heavily influenced by what he knew of Margo's little-girl-hood, yes.
