Tino was giving Jane exaggerated shocked and confused looks about her coming into the bar to set up for the evening. Because he was Tino and not at all for any other reason. Really

"Okay, okay. So maybe I've been busy," she sighed, hauling one of the kegs that he'd been ignoring down to where it needed to go.


Sometimes it just went that way.

"Are you sure?" Look, Jane was beyond questioning being able to understand Beaker here.

So by now multiple people had told Dean to head to Caritas if he wanted a nice bar to drink at. Even if it did have zombies.

He still had opinions about zombies and warily circled them twice before actually heading to the bar just to make sure they didn't attack during Dean's sacred ritual of drinking.

Finally making it to the bar he eyed the special. He'd been to Chicago. He'd had Malort but he wasn't sure if that was the kind of evening he wanted to have.

"When we're talking about the Malort is it the vinyl car seat condensation flavor or the citrus flavored gasoline?"

As long as they weren't in some kind of romantic love triangle, the zombies were fine.

"The citrus flavored gasoline," Jane said with a heavy sigh and a look at Tino who was just remorseless. Zero remorse.

"But we have plenty of other things," she promised. "I pour a mean beer."

"Is that so? Can you pour a friendly whiskey or does that have to be mean too?" Dean joked.

"Meep meep meep," Beaker said with a wave of his felty hand.

Dean looked at his whiskey and then back at the felty orange haired thing. "I've only had two glasses so I can't be that drunk," he reasoned. "Did you just say Meep Meep Meep?"

Steve decided to be sociable for once and went for a wander through town. "Hey, Jane!" he said, grinning. "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world--"

"And you picked the one with the zombies," she teased. It was kind of nice to do. Like doing it to Thor by proxy.

Steve laughed. "I should know better," he said, "and yet, here I am."

Dean looked over at the guy who arrived and gave him a friendly wave. "How's it going? Don't drink the Malort unless you want to taste regret."

"Hey," Steve said with an equally friendly smile. "Thanks for the heads-up. I don't think it's that kind of a Saturday night. I'll probably stick to beer. Are you the new person Tony mentioned on the radio today?"

She was giving those specials a side eye, though. "Pessimistic, yet relatable."

"I didn't pick them!" Jane said, shooing Tino away with flick of a towel at him. "Hi. Sorry about that."

"Honestly we should be glad it wasn't anything worse," Sabine told her. "Is there a decent one of those?"

Dean saw Sabine walk in and immediately called out to Tino and or Jane. "Whatever she's getting her first round is on me."

He gave Sabine a wave. "Consider it a thank you for being a tour guide."

"I was barely a tour guide," she told him. "But I won't turn down a free drink."

"Meep meep meep meep," Beaker said, trying to be alluring.

Blame the Malort.

"Sabine." Ahsoka hadn't been avoiding Sabine since that weird weekend, she'd just been giving her space.

"Ahsoka," Sabine said, sipping her drink. Maybe more than a sip. "Long time, no see."

Because Sabine had been a hermit/not been around.

There was only so much moping meditation in the woods one could do before it got old and you needed to be around people. Who were not Anakin.

"Evening." Look at her and her continuing streak of not calling her 'buff Padme' out loud.

Okay. Dean had already met four aliens in the past 24 hours and obviously he needed to continue the trend.

"Okay, forgive the intrusion," he said politely. "I just got to the island and I have to ask... Are you from another Earth reality or another planet."
