Winter Carnival | All Day | The Park | January 31 [Post #1]

It was a new day and there was no better way to start a new day than with the continuation of the carnival. There was still snow coating the ground but the atmosphere was as lively as ever. With cream-colored decorations and twinkling lights, the Student Council had aimed for a winter wonderland kind of theme, and the snow simply added to the effect. Thankfully, the day was turning out to be warmer, so those who were going to be outside all day wouldn't freeze. Once the finishing touches were done, the carnival was open for business.

There is ~~moddable~~ carnival food of all types. Snacks, desserts, meals, and drinks line the various booths spread out across the park

Find a place to sit down and talk to friends! The tables and chairs are comfortable and plentiful!

That's right! There's a crane that lifts HIGH into the air, ready to take you up and let you feel the crisp air before sending you plunging down! Not for the weak of heart!

Hannibal didn't have the chance to really enjoy the carnival due to his time in the dunk tank yesterday so he was determined to do so today. First stop? The food tables, of course. He was hungry and it all looked so good.

Jeff wandered into the carnival area 1) covered in fudge and 2) covered in feathers.

No, he hadn't been here yesterday. No, he hadn't been dunked.

Yes, it was probably a good idea not to ask.

Since Jonas had enjoyed himself yesterday, he saw no reason not to come back out again today. This time, he'd made it back to a table with the food he'd acquired and was taking his time eating it while he watched people mill about the carnival area.

Mitchell had decided to ~~spite Kate~~ show up again the next day, if simply to see if he could catch wind of any alumni milling around. He had a soft drink, a long black coat, and a mobile phone that would only occasionally blink with messages from George regarding the state of their cleaning cupboard in Baltimore.

What exactly has made you believe I care how many kinds of upholstery cleaner we have, he texted back.

Day two was as good a day as any to make an appearance, from Cable's perspective. He had Jan with him, and she was oo'ing and aah'ing about everything within sight - doubly so after he'd gotten her some candy.

That girl owned him. Don't tell.

Alex had almost decided against coming out again today (it might have been more beneficial on his poor mind) but he was there. He'd found a spot on the fringes again, hiding his eyes behind sunglasses so it wouldn't be obvious he was watching people pass by.

Effy wasn't really planning on sticking around today, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to stop by, pick up candy floss and pause to observe briefly.

Pink fluffy sugar didn't really go with her image, but she also found she didn't much care.

Yeah, Chuck was back out here again. He hadn't done half the things he'd wanted to do yesterday and that was kind of wrong.

Right now, it didn't look like he'd get around to them today. The comic in his lap was getting more attention than the carnival right now.

"--and next we need to get her a deep-fried candy bar," Deadpool added, proving just how much she owned both of them.

"...Yeah, I'm not seeing the bad in all this," Deadpool admitted, eying the chocolate.

"Yeah," Nate said, dryly, "Nutritional."

"It's a carnival. Your arteries should be screaming in horror half the time," Wade replied. "I mean, you see any veggies? I don't."

"There's a grey area between veggies and deep-fried Mars bars..." Nate just had to point out. Jan giggled and gripped his hand more.

"It's a good color for you," Alex said from a spot behind her, smirking mildly. It probably would have been better to keep away from each other but hey, Alex hadn't ever played it safe.

"Very girly," he added, stubbing his cigarette out against the heel of his boot. "Almost didn't recognize you."

"There's also a grey area between Tony Stark and Doctor Doom, but you don't see me workin' for Starky."

Nate sighed.

He decided this was a good point to divert the conversation to something else. "Seems like the carnival drew a crowd."

Well, Wade was nothign if not adaptable. "Of course it did, it's a big ol' event with kissing booths."
