Originally, this was going to be a much smaller event, but then Fandom had to be Fandom and Portalocity had to be Portalocity, and now Zoe was wondering if there would be enough food for everyone or if she'd have to get things from the local restaurants.

For the moment though, everything was set up nicely. There were tables and chairs set up with blue and gold tablecloths, each covered with glitter from years of use. There were balloons, streamers, and other slightly tasteful decorations, also covered in glitter from years of being stored with things that were also covered in glitter. Don't worry, no one had died from a glitter overdose yet.

Once the food was set out and the (non-tainted) punch was ready, it seemed like things were as good to go as they'd ever be. If things got too crowded, hopefully a fire marshal wasn't among the folks who had come back to town.

"Don't know for sure, since male pattern baldness comes from the mother's side," he said. "But I tend to make most everything look good."

Hannibal snorted and shook his head. "What are you doing now? Blue collar job in a factory, right?"

Chuck nodded. "Manual labor. Wear jeans to work and come home covered in grease."

"Oooh, sexy," Hannibal quipped, nodding. "You're making my heart flutter here, Chuck. I'm gonna swoon."

Chuck smiled, though he'd never admit he actually missed Hannibal. "What are you doing with your life?"

Hannibal shrugged. "Hanging out in New York, mostly. I am actually doing some work with my hands."

Some very violent, very vampire involved work. He didn't go into that, though.

"But, Abigail gave me the day off. It's too hot in New York to do much."

"You have to get permission to get the day off?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm so whipped," Hannibal drawled, shaking his head. "Of course I don't. Abigail made the suggestion and I, like the big boy I am, took her up on it. If she'd said no, I probably would have been scared of her but I would have come anyway."

"Ah, I see," Chuck said with a nod. "I ended up here by accident."

"What, you didn't wanna come back and see this wonderful place?" he joked. "I'm shocked."

"I've had enough of this place for a lifetime," Chuck said. "But I'm not about to be a grumpy bitch about being here."

"Aww, but that grumpy bitchface is so cute," Hannibal told him, snickering. "I mean, look at all these girls here who would probably love to soothe you."

"The majority of which are probably underage." He could not get arrested anymore now that he was over eighteen.

Hannibal snickered. "Oh right, that's something that we have to worry about these days, isn't it? Bummer. Maybe you can find someone old enough to not get you arrested and plastered all over gossip rags."

"I'll pass on that," he said. "Unfortunately I'm at the point where ending up in gossip rags is a bad thing and could cause stocks to fall."

"Ooooh, you sound important," Hannibal noted. "And here I thought you were gonna say no because you'd found your soulmate."

"Hardly." Though he did sleep around a whole lot less because of Blair. "Found yours?"

Hannibal shook his head. "No. I've barely dated lately. Not a lot of time for that."

"You're at least getting laid, right?"

"When it's needed."

Not often but he did manage. He didn't go out, seeking girls to bring home but he did flirt still.

"Well at least there's that," Chuck said. "I would have been worried otherwise."

"Come on, I might be older but I still look like this," he said, gesturing to his body. "You couldn't resist me for awhile there."

"Please, you were the one chasing after me." Actually it was more like they were both bored and horny.

Hannibal rolled his eyes. Twice. "Not even. I don't chase. Not even you, Chuck Bass. No one's worth that."

"I am." Alwaaaaaaaays.
