Originally, this was going to be a much smaller event, but then Fandom had to be Fandom and Portalocity had to be Portalocity, and now Zoe was wondering if there would be enough food for everyone or if she'd have to get things from the local restaurants.

For the moment though, everything was set up nicely. There were tables and chairs set up with blue and gold tablecloths, each covered with glitter from years of use. There were balloons, streamers, and other slightly tasteful decorations, also covered in glitter from years of being stored with things that were also covered in glitter. Don't worry, no one had died from a glitter overdose yet.

Once the food was set out and the (non-tainted) punch was ready, it seemed like things were as good to go as they'd ever be. If things got too crowded, hopefully a fire marshal wasn't among the folks who had come back to town.

"Hi! How are you?" she asked. "What have you been up to since the last time I saw you?"

"Watchering, mostly," Dawn grinned, enjoying being in a place that was hers, and where she could be completely open. "It's been all kinds of crazyflakes, but it's all good. Mostly. You know. How are you? Are you still with..."

She'd completely forgotten. Smooth, Dawn.

It had been a long time. It was completely understandable.

"Wyatt," Isabel supplied. "And yes. We've been married for a few years now and we have a two year old daughter. Things are good."

"Ohmigod, you have a little girl?" Dawn lit up, "Do you have pictures? Can I see? Does she look just like you?"

"I might have few," Isabel grinned. "And yes you can." She pulled out her phone and opened the gallery before passing it over to Dawn. "She's got my eyes, and Wyatt's curls."

Dawn took the phone happily and started scrolling through. "Oh, she's so cute! Is it weird being a mom?"

She had to nod. "Maybe a little at first. This tiny little person, totally dependent on you? It's scary."

"I bet! I'd be terrified, and like, worried I'd break her or a demon would steal her or something," Dawn said.

"That's kind of a legitimate concern," Isabel sighed. "It hasn't happened yet, but I'm married to the son of a Charmed One who's pretty important himself. It's always a possibility."

"We live weird lives," she nodded knowingly. "But hey, married, not involved romantically with someone with raging commitment issues....sounds great."

"Uh-oh, that doesn't sound good. Who's got commitment issues?" she asked.

"Xander,". she grumbled, then quickly added, "Not this Xander. My Xander. I mean, at some point, don't you just have to get over one of your teachers trying to eat you, and your dead former fiancee who you left at the altar, and move on with your life?"

"I was going to say," Isabel said, unable to stop a small laugh at the thought of this Xander being afraid of commitment. "But yeah, seriously, at some point you do need to move on."

Huge eye-roll. "Thank you! See? You feel my pain!"

"I do! That stinks. Tell him to stop being a butthead." Because seriously. "It's too easy to miss out on a good thing being stuck in the past."

"I will! As soon as I get home, I'm going to tell him that my friend Isabel says he needs to get over himself."

See? This was why you needed friends. She felt better.

"And if he's still being a pain, come to San Francisco and I'll feed you ice cream," Isabel offered.

"And give me an alibi?" She asked hopefully.

"I'd help you hide a body," she promised.

"See? Friendship. Right here." Dawn was totally grinning like a dork.
