Come As You Were Dance, Community Center, Saturday Evening

Originally, this was going to be a much smaller event, but then Fandom had to be Fandom and Portalocity had to be Portalocity, and now Zoe was wondering if there would be enough food for everyone or if she'd have to get things from the local restaurants.

For the moment though, everything was set up nicely. There were tables and chairs set up with blue and gold tablecloths, each covered with glitter from years of use. There were balloons, streamers, and other slightly tasteful decorations, also covered in glitter from years of being stored with things that were also covered in glitter. Don't worry, no one had died from a glitter overdose yet.

Once the food was set out and the (non-tainted) punch was ready, it seemed like things were as good to go as they'd ever be. If things got too crowded, hopefully a fire marshal wasn't among the folks who had come back to town.

"Stark!"

"'Tark!" Bronwyn echoed. "Tark, Tark, Tark!"

"... Bronwyn says hello," Bridge added helpfully.

"Hello, Bronwyn," Stark said, smiling. He did like babies. He even liked impossible ones that made his head hurt. Bronwyn did not make his head hurt. So he liked her even more.

"And Bridge." Bridge got an even bigger smile. But he'd known Bridge much longer so that was only fair.

Well, Bronwyn was still pretty new, so that made sense. "What have you been up to?"

Said relatively new person's presence was a pretty big hint as to what Bridge (and Xander) had been up to.

"I'm still here," Stark said, waving a hand to vaguely indicate the island. "Not just for now. I'm usually here. Well, almost always." He hadn't gone anywhere in quite some time, actually.

"Life is treating you well?" It seemed to be. Bridge was holding a very adorable baby, after all.

"Nobody's tried to blow up the Earth in at least a year," Bridge confirmed. "So, yeah. Things are going well. Are you teaching, or...?"

"It's always best when your home is not in danger of exploding," Stark said. "Not teaching. Maybe I should, again. Now I just work at the clinic, still. It's very quiet there. It didn't use to be."

"That's good, though, right?" Bridge checked. "I mean, it kinda sucks that there's less to do but, I mean, if the clinic's busy then people are getting hurt and that's not really any fun."

"It's good," Stark agreed. "I don't mind quiet, there. Or here at all. Sometimes I think I should be doing more." Like right now. "Sometimes life is too quiet."

Stark, that happens when you effectively turn into a hermit.

"There is that," Bridge said. "... Not that I'd know what quiet is, these days," he said, giving Bronwyn a look of exasperated fondness.

"No quiet for a while," Stark agreed. "But that is the good sort of loud and busy. I think."

"How is Xander?"
