Originally, this was going to be a much smaller event, but then Fandom had to be Fandom and Portalocity had to be Portalocity, and now Zoe was wondering if there would be enough food for everyone or if she'd have to get things from the local restaurants.

For the moment though, everything was set up nicely. There were tables and chairs set up with blue and gold tablecloths, each covered with glitter from years of use. There were balloons, streamers, and other slightly tasteful decorations, also covered in glitter from years of being stored with things that were also covered in glitter. Don't worry, no one had died from a glitter overdose yet.

Once the food was set out and the (non-tainted) punch was ready, it seemed like things were as good to go as they'd ever be. If things got too crowded, hopefully a fire marshal wasn't among the folks who had come back to town.

Hannibal chuckled. "I am. A house became available and I couldn't resist." Partly because he was now rather wanted, but details. "Jono has practically moved in at this point as well."

Jono had totally moved in and made the place his, too, but even Hannibal had his blind spots.

Please don't let that 'wanted' part slip to Momoko. She has this Thing about Justice, you see.

"OOH!" Momoko nodded. "That's great! I totally don't know how he lived in that apartment above the store for so long. I can't imagine living and working in the same place. I mean, you never leave!"

Oh, Hannibal had no intentions of doing that.

He shrugged. "I would have detested the lack of space more, myself. But he seems content, anyway."

"Sometimes it's okay to have a tiny space," Momoko considered that a little. "Especially when you're trying to remember that it's not Home. But I'm glad he's happy; he's an old and dear friend, and I worry about him. He doesn't take as much care of himself as he does others."

Frowny face, Jono. FROWNY FACE.

"So I've noticed." Hannibal grinned. "Don't worry; I don't let him get away with it."

"Good." Momoko nodded. "And if he puts up a fuss, let me know. I'll come over and hang him from a lamppost until he agrees with us."

"How are things with you? Anything new other than moving here?"

Hannibal shrugged. "Not particularly. How is Jaime?"

Momoko was glad to hear that! "He's fine! And around here somewhere." She turned to cast a glance over the crowd. "He's been a little more worried than usual since I got shot, but that could also be because he's starting dental school, too. I'm glad I convinced him to come."

"Wish him well for me if I don't see him," Hannibal said. "And try not to be too exasperated when he worries."

"Oh, I don't. Not anymore... unless he's worrying about stupid stuff." Like what if maybe she suddenly decided to not marry him. "Or paying for stuff. I totally have to leave the room when he starts worrying over the bills."

"A healthy worry, so long as he doesn't obsess over it," Hannibal said. "But I hope you don't include your well-being among that 'stupid stuff', or will I have to find a way of hanging you from a lamp post?" he teased.

"He doesn't obsess over them? But I think he concentrates on them a little too much. Not that we can afford to not pay attention, or that we don't need to have a budget, but..." Momoko tapped her chin and then shrugged. "Maybe it's because I haven't found a job in San Antonio yet. We'll see."

"And no, my health isn't in that category, though I'd totally like to see you try!"

"I've made promises! I have to see a doctor any time I slam into a building or fall from the sky. That's for Scully. And Karla and Raven want me to let them know when they can help, which is hard since Jaime gets upset when I don't see a doctor for stuff that won't heal when I transform."

"And why won't you see a doctor?" Hannibal asked sensibly.

"It's kind of hard to explain how a nice young girl can get all the injuries I do," Momoko smiled back. "My superhero identity is a secret when I'm not here, remember."

"When I left Tokyo City, I didn't have anyone to go to, so I transformed back to me, which heals up a lot of minor things, and just cleaned up whatever was left myself. Then I became friends with Scully... she was a classmate of mine... And she did a lot of my wound checking and bandaging. "

"When she went back to work for the FBI, I went back to not really having anyone until Jaime took me to this place that specializes in genetics and metahuman studies... I'm not really a meta, but it's at least a place that understands I'm not going to be normal and I'm not going to answer too many questions."
