Unlike most 3MDs, there didn't seem to be a host. The zombies were just set up, all quiet, when the lights went out.

After a few moments, music started to play. A man's voice started to sing "Ooooooooh" while backing vocals repeated "come on."

The first chorus played before a voice that might have been familiar to longtime residents came up and completely failed to introduce himself. "Welcome to Three Minute Dates. I gave this CD to Tino years ago, just in case this thing I started turned a sexy, legal to drink in the rest of the country 21. In honor of that, have an open bar, courtesy of me, to make sure my name is never forgotten. When somebody reads your names or whatever happens, pair up, get drunk, and let those beer goggles take over for three minutes until this sound plays."

The song cued back up, singing, "You're hopelessly HOPELEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!" It was, perhaps, a mixed message.

"Have fun. And try not to bang too many people at once, like I'm definitely doing right now."

Finally the lights came back on. Jessica turned to Tino at the bar, taking a free drink, and asked, "Who was that?" Tino just shrugged. He clearly knew, but he was admitting to nothing.

[OOC: Three minutes = ten comments total, five per person. You don't need to do your threads chronologically, but try not to Joss yourself.

If I made a blatant mistake, like skipping a character completely for a round or posting a pairing twice, feel free to grab me on AIM or in the OOC thread and I'll make a quick fix. Remember, attacks on your dates will get you teleported elsewhere on the island.

Also remember that most playing should happen on Saturday, but if you need to finish things up on Sunday, that's fine.

Who or what was a Kuzco? Ada sat down and looked around, trying to guess at who her next date could be.

"Tell me this is going to be over soon?"

If this was what dating was like, Ahsoka was beginning to really appreciate the Jedi's outlook on it.

"So, we made it through," Anders greeted, as soon as Rey had joined him at the table. "Did you have fun?"

"And what a way to end the night," Roscoe said dramatically, swooping down on the table with a mostly empty cocktail glass. "How'd your dates go?"

Frank settled in for his final date, having abandoned his 'Match the Number of Drinks to the Number of Rounds' strategy in favor of a five star quality drink. Each of those five stars was collapsing, though, because he had a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster. Nobody had served him one in all his time in Fandom, but it was very possible that Tino just wanted to see what happened.

What happened was that Frank drank some of it while waiting for Negasonic Teenage Warhead. His head, meanwhile, had not yet exploded.

It was her last meet of the evening, but Maria was still cheerful. She enjoyed talking to people.

"So, we made it through," she greeted with a smile.

Isabela tilted her head consideringly at Peridot. "And how's your evening been so far, kitten?"
