Prom, Community Center, Friday Evening

It was possible that the strange creatures that had invaded Fandom last week were still on everyone's mind when the Student Council had designed the decorations for Prom. Glittery cardboard animal-hybrid monsters awaited everyone as they arrived to the community center, and made their way inside along a blue and yellow carpet flanked by glowing, glittery red eyes.

Nothing in the decorations looked like a rabbit though. Some memories were just too much to make fun of.

"Oh good," Kathy purred. "I was worried it might be a little subtle for what I had in mind." She slid her hand up his back to play with his hair and winked. "Though actually...whatever your plans for after-prom are, I'm really just happy to be here with you now. I don't need to monopolize you all evening."

Dante deserved his time with Anders, too, dammit.

"I don't know either," Anders admitted, faintly dizzy from her closeness. "I don't want to say goodbye to either of you."

"And it's not something we have to worry about now anyway," Kathy said, giving him another soft, loving smile. "We have the whole evening ahead of us. I just didn't want you thinking that I had actual, real expectations for the night that I hadn't told you about yet."
