Caritas, Wednesday Evening

Jarod whistled as he opened the bar, to the point where the zombies were elbowing each other in a knowing fashion and Tino kept hoping for some good gossip, which he wouldn't get. When it was quiet, Jarod once again worked on his laptop, closing it when he sensed anyone coming close enough to read the screen.

A sign was posted on the door:

"See, I was right," Rose said, touching his cheeks happily. "You are gorgeous."

Just how red could a Kryptonian turn? Perhaps he'd discover a new superpower.

"W-well thank you. And a-as a matter, matter of factsoareyou."

"Thank you, Mr. Kent." Rose beamed at him. She poked him in the chest. Yep. Rather drunk. When did she become such a lightweight? "Know what's so good 'bout you? You're not going to go swanning off at the first sign of domestic and you're not gonna go assumin' just 'cause something's good for me you'll go and do somethin' without consultin' me. And, and... I don't know what else but it's somefing."

Yes, Rose has some issues.

Clark wasn't sure what she was talking about just now. "That's, that's good yes."

"Oh, don't worry." Rose said, patting him on the cheek. "You're pretty. Pretty and gentlemanly like. Too bad you're not an alien. Or a time traveler. You'd be perfect."

Clark choked on his drink.

*cough!* "No, no not an alien." he assured her. "I am from 1981 though."

Rose shoved him on the arm and giggled. "Oh, go on, you're havin' me on!"

Clark chuckled. "No, no I really am. It suprised me when I found out about the time difference myself."

Considering how loopy she's become, Rose decided to humor Clark. Or if he was telling the truth must be one of those lucky folk who unknowingly walked into a time rift.

"Know the best thing about time travel?" She asked, then answered her own question. "Seein' history happen."

"Have you seen your fair share then?" hoping to steer the conversation further from whether or not he was an alien.

"Yep, more than a fair share." Rose said, "Seen all the wonders and all that lot."

"What's your favorite bit that you've witnessed?"

Rose considered telling Clark about the time she saw the world end or met Charles Dickens but turned those down. They were too far apart and extreme and she wasn't one to blurt out those adventures to someone she's just met, even when drunk. So...

"There's lots of 'em but I think one of the memorable adventures was the Olympic Games in 2012."

"Really?" Clark said, intruiged. "Where were they held? Or, where will they be held?"

"London," Rose said with a flourish, "Oh, and if the whole audience in the stadium vanish for, oh, a few minutes don't worry about it. They'll appear again."

"Oh?" he pressed. "What happened?"

"Just... there was an alien kid throwing a tantrum," Rose said, not really caring what the Doctor had said. A kid throwing a tantrum is still a kid throwing a tantrum. "I eventually convinced it to go home and return all the people it's taken as 'playmates'."

"Oh dear." Clark winced. "They can be troublesome at times can't they."

Rose rolled her eyes. "Tell me about it, I really don't get other people's urge to have children. It'll be a long time before that'll ever happen. And thanks to my little sister, it only reinforced my resolve."

Clark snerked a bit into his drink. "I meant Aliens." he chuckled.

"Oh, of course," Rose laughed, "I meant those too. Mind, some aliens are lovely. Makes-up for the other half that are mostly blob monsters."

Clark nodded. "Not long before I came here three aliens tried to take over my world. But another of their own species stopped them."

Rose was intrigued with this. "Really? What sort of aliens where they?"

"They were called Kryptonians." he explained. "For the most part they looked just like humans, only with super powers."

After thinking about it for a minute she said, "Never heard of them, what sort of super powers do they have?"
