"He's nice." she replied without looking at him, drinking more of her punch. And it was probably because of the punch that made her tongue a little more loose in her mouth than it normally was. "It's hard to tell sometimes with you, you know? I mean, you haven't exactly been very affectionate this evening so far." Not that Annette expected him to crawl all over her or anything. But...

"Nevermind. Forget I said that." She waved her hand and drank the rest of her punch. Most likely it was just her.

She wrinkled up her brow and turned to face him fully. "I don't know. Maybe kind of a little of both?" Annette looked down then, at the floor. "I wanted to look really pretty for you tonight and...I just get the feeling that you are more excited about the punch being spiked than with being with me."
