The Park, Saturday Night (Prom Part 2)

The music is playing, the glitter is everywhere and outside the tent, the gondoliers are occasionally bursting into song.

Prom 2007 continues!

Peter and Willow arrived just before the Prom Court was announced. He grinned at her. "Would you like some punch?"

"For some strange reason I am rather thirsty," Willow said, grinning at him.

"We should remedy that," he replied before he fetched her a glass of the punch. "It's strong," Peter said as he handed it to her.

Willow took a sip then made a face at the flavor. "Thanks for the warning," she said, sincerely. "Shall there be dancing?"

"I think there should be," Peter said, smiling at her. He offered her his hand. "Would you do me the honour?"

Willow took his hand. "Yes." She grinned and leaned in to whisper, "Because I would hate to see you with another girl on your arm."

"Peter! You're here!" Isabel grinned. "I thought you decided to skip!"

He grinned back a bit repentantly. "No?"

"Good! Because you worked so hard yesterday," she said. "I would have hated to see you miss it."

"It turned out beautifully," Peter said. "And you, if I may say, look lovely."

"As do you," Isabel said. "And look. Now I'm royalty."

"Already were," Peter pointed out before he gave her a deep bow appropriate to the Princess of another nation. "Your Highness, congratulations on your estate."

Grateful that she'd once spent an evening watching a stupid documentary on debutante balls, Isabel attempted a deep curtsey. "Why thank you gallant knight!"

Peter grinned at her. "May I claim a dance then, your Highness?"

"You may," she said regally, holding out a hand.

Just as regally - and possibly more so since more practice at it - Peter placed her hand on his arm and led her to dance (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/1600652.html?thread=71673228#t71673228).

Angela got a glass of strong-smelling punch. "So Peter Parker said part of the theme was your idea," she said. "You guys did an amazing job."

Peter grinned. "Thank you, Angela! It turned out so very well. Even if we did have to bargain with the gondoliers' union for the singing."

Angela smiled and lifted her ears to hear the gondoliers sing. "Did they need to be flown in from Italy?" she asked. "Or are there gondoliers worldwide?"

"Worldwide, apparently," Peter said. "But-" he grinned. "They're afraid of Isabel. And didn't want to sing because of it."

Angela giggled. "I love that out of everything in Fandom, they're afraid of Isabel."

"They're not stupid," Peter chuckled. "Isabel while organising is a bit terrrifying."
