"I believe I did, English and Narnian King," Parker teased back, letting him take her hand, and start dancing along with the beat. "Your Prom is a huge success. Great job."

"High praise indeed," Peter replied as he started to dance. "May I just be thankful that next year, we don't have to do it again?"

"Sure, I was, this time last year," Parker said cheerfully. "Leave it to the next class to deal with, with relief and glee." She cocked her head. "Although, I do wonder what made you late to your own Prom?"

The question took Peter by surprise and he coughed, trying to cover the blush. "My clock broke," he lied, lamely.

"Reeeeeally." Because that blush was pretty obvious. "Mmmmhmmm. Did Willow's clock break too? She's so punctual, usually."

And he was blushing more. "Sometimes she gets caught up. I mean we get caught up. I mean..." He facepalmed and tried to change the subject. "Did I tell you how lovely you look tonight?"

"Awwwww." And that's half appreciation of the compliment, and half amused recognition of what certain people had been up to. "Thanks. That's so kind of you to say." She spun out and away as the song sped up and the bass line kicked in. "Seasons don't fear the reaper, nor do the wind, the sun or the rain... So for the next dance, you guys will buy alarm clocks?"

As the music sped up, Peter started listening to the lyrics and smiled. "This is an incredibly appropriate song. And I believe alarm clocks might be a good purchase, yes."

"Isn't it?" Parker grinned. "One of my faves. The curtains flew then he appeared, saying don't be afraid... I'll buy you guys clocks from Geneva. Promise. I'll send them to you this summer."

"I'm fairly certain I am," Peter replied. "I was home in March and things seeemed to be going well."
