"Me too," he whispered. He stayed that way for another few seconds, leaning on Parker - who was the first person he'd ever trusted to look out for him, and who'd never let him down - then straightened. "But that's life, isn't it. Let's go," he said, nodding at the crowd. "He must be here somewhere."

Parker nodded, her arm still looped through Jack's, then spotted Anders over by one of the backdrops again. "There he is. Daisy? Wanna go hooooooooooome."

Anders looked up and started to smile, then hesitated and schooled his face back into a fairly neutral expression. "Hey, Harkness. Parker. Time to call it a night?"

"I'm going to hang out for awhile still. I want to find my wizard before I leave, but Parker," Jack smiled down at her, "Is way past ready, I think."

Parker nodded morosely, and said, "If you want to stay, I can get a rickshaw, Daisy, but I thought I should let you know I was leaving..."

Anders glanced at his watch. "No, it's okay. I'm about ready to go myself." He did have an appointment of sorts to get to, after all. "I'd be a pretty crappy date if I didn't walk you home, wouldn't I?"

Parker gave him a grateful smile, then turned to brush a kiss on Jack's cheek. "Find me tomorrow, okay?" she whispered. "Ice cream and booze, maybe." Then she turned back to Anders, and slipped her arm throug his. "Thanks, Jack."
