Caritas, Wednesday evening

Jaina still wasn't exactly sure why she had this job, except it got the owner to shut up. And upon finding out there was going to be a wedding reception here (and hey, didn't she meet Deadpool? she had no idea he was married), she really wasn't happy. Regardless, she set up the best she could, considering she'd never seen what a party here was supposed to look like.

She was trying to think of it in terms like "If this doesn't turn me to the dark side, I'm doing pretty good."

Aly laughed both at the correction and statement. "Bit of this, bit of that. Jack of all trades. So, should I teach a class on parties next term? Less worrying than explosives for you."

"I don't know," he said thoughtfully, considering her. "Would I get invited?"

"Would it make a difference in your decision?" she asked, watching him.

"Yes," he grinned. "Especially if there'd be an opportunity to dance."

"As long as it's actual music," Roy added quickly and picked up his glass to take a sip.

She laughed. "All these conditions! What's a girl to do?"

Roy grinned at her. "You'd get a dance out of it," he pointed out.

"Hmmm," she teased. "That might possibly be enough."

"Might?" he raised an eyebrow, then smirked at her as he leaned towards her a little. "I'd make it worth it," he assured her.

Her eyes lit up and she leaned forward as well. "Going to give me extra questions?"

He met her eyes, the corner of his mouth curving up in a mischievous grin. "Maybe."

Aly sat up and looked around behind her. "You are? I thought you were talking to the good man behind me."

Roy leaned back again. "And how would I be able to notice anyone but you?" he teased.
