Caritas, Wednesday evening

Jaina still wasn't exactly sure why she had this job, except it got the owner to shut up. And upon finding out there was going to be a wedding reception here (and hey, didn't she meet Deadpool? she had no idea he was married), she really wasn't happy. Regardless, she set up the best she could, considering she'd never seen what a party here was supposed to look like.

She was trying to think of it in terms like "If this doesn't turn me to the dark side, I'm doing pretty good."

"I wasn't either," Anakin said sourly, pouring himself another shot. "I don't need another person in my life trying to fix what's wrong with me."

"Who says I'm trying to fix you?" Jaina said. "I just think it might shatter a few illusions to see you fall off a stool."

"It's been decades since I've fallen off a stool," Anakin said with a scowl. "And that had been because Obi-Wan pushed me."

Well, no, but that's how Anakin chose to remember it.

Jaina had no idea how to react to that. Granted, the only think she'd ever heard of her grandfather and Obi-wan was how it ended. "I'm sure."

"Then Obi-Wan danced on the bar in drag," Anakin said, "so there was no point in getting off the floor. Or demonstrating in any way that I knew who he was."

Ah, oversharing. A sign the whiskey was working.

"Well, when you start oversharing, you get cut off," she said, as it is a rule she just made up.

"I wasn't oversharing," Anakin said, peering longingly at the bottles. "Telling you that Obi-Wan had great legs in a skirt would be oversharing."

"Oops."
