Caritas, Wednesday evening

Jaina still wasn't exactly sure why she had this job, except it got the owner to shut up. And upon finding out there was going to be a wedding reception here (and hey, didn't she meet Deadpool? she had no idea he was married), she really wasn't happy. Regardless, she set up the best she could, considering she'd never seen what a party here was supposed to look like.

She was trying to think of it in terms like "If this doesn't turn me to the dark side, I'm doing pretty good."

[Up omg early for party.]

.......

"I'm a guy... I don't think that's possible in this dimension." Arashi forced a smile. "And Wade and I had a son and he was from an alternate dimensionwhere horrible terrible things such as M-preg exsisted."

"Ahhh," Evie said, abashed. "I'm sorry. This is how rumors start, isn't it? Terrible things. Yes, Mr. Deadpool seemed to think you might be able to if there were some secret ninja things you weren't telling him, but otherwise, he seemed shocked. I thought you were just saving it as a surprise, and I was afraid I spilled the beans too soon!"

"....." There was lots of dumbfounded staring, and perhaps the nearly inaudible sound of Arashi's brain breaking.

"No... no, I don't think there is. But I wouldn't put it past Kabutosome really crazy ninja back home."

"Perhaps you're using a surrogate?" Evie inquired brightly. "A girl ninja! Oh, how thoughtful of her!"

Annnny second Evie's going to careen over that verbal cliff and go splat.

"...I'm afraid not. My village at home kind of thinks I'm dead, it would be a little awkward to do that." Not to mention he'd run into his son, the non-Wade one. "Though that's not a bad idea, if we ever consider kids.... "

Damn it! Why did he just encourage her!?!

"Splendid! So you *are* thinking about it!" Evie spun on her chair, then told him, "I'm very glad I got you the baby booties now, Professor. And I'm sure you'll be a very good father. Or mother. Whatever it turns out you're going to be!"

"Thanks..." He said rubbing his face and feeling a headache coming on, feeling it better not to say anything about his real son. "Ah... who are you by the way?"

"I'm Evie Carnahan, Professor Deadpool taught me how to drive," Evie said, holding out her hand. "So sorry, that was rude, wasn't it? But he's one of my favorite professors, really." When he wasn't commenting on her and Sokka over the Radio. "Although I think he's still sad about his car. Which I never even broke!"

"It's nice to meet you Evie, and he says that I broke his car too," Arashi smiled brightly and gently shook her hand.

Evie beamed at him happily. "Oh, I *am* glad you're so nice. Professor Deadpool deserves someone who understands his little quirks." She sighed. "So romantic."

Arashi couldn't help but smile and laugh. "Ahh, yeah. I sadly know people stranger than him, so it's not difficult."
