Caritas, Wednesday evening

Jaina still wasn't exactly sure why she had this job, except it got the owner to shut up. And upon finding out there was going to be a wedding reception here (and hey, didn't she meet Deadpool? she had no idea he was married), she really wasn't happy. Regardless, she set up the best she could, considering she'd never seen what a party here was supposed to look like.

She was trying to think of it in terms like "If this doesn't turn me to the dark side, I'm doing pretty good."

"Other than that it really does become you?" Yep, still smirking.

She raised an eyebrow - not that you could really tell because...frosting. "Oh, I think this is a cake that goes with everyone's skin tones."

"Perhaps, but not everyone can pull it off quite as dignified as you," Roy pointed out, ignoring the underlying threat.

Aly took a few steps closer, careful not to slip on the frosting covered floor. "I think you're underestimating people."

"No, I don't think I am," he leaned back, away from her and kept ready to take actions if need be.

"You are," she said definitively.

And hurled a chunk of chocolate cake covered in gooey frosting at him. "You, for instance, would look lovely in it."

Roy blinked as he was hit squarely on the forehead by the cake. He reached up, wiping it off even as some of it stuck to his hair. "You're asking for it, you know," he warned her. No, he had no clue what it was.

"But it goes so nicely with your skin tone," she said sweetly.

"Not as much as it does with yours," he argued, starting to get up. He still had the cake he'd wiped off in his hand.

"You think so, do you?" she asked, watching him closely. "I'm fairly certain that you are incorrect."

"Should find out then," he said with a smirk, quickly moving forward to do just that.

She ducked under his hand and took advantage of the closing distance to smear more frosting on his uniform.

He was going to complain about that later, right now he was too busy trying to retaliate by smearing the frosting that got stuck on his fingers on Aly's cheek because that was the easiest accessible to him right now. Shame that really, he was suffering greater cake damage than she was.

Aly laughed as she felt even more frosting get smeared over her. She raised an eyebrow. "You're lucky I don't sit on you and completely ruin that uniform."

"I expect you to clean this one," Roy commented, lowering his hand. "I've only have two." He wasn't quite ready to have to work in his dress uniform.

Her eyebrow raised more. "General or not, I'm not doing your laundry."

"You break it, you fix it," Roy told her.

"I'll clean it if you beat me at chess Saturday," she said.

"You expect me to last until Saturday with just one uniform?" Roy sighed. "Fine."

"Or you could take the easier route and send it out to be cleaned yourself," she replied, smirking.

"No, I don't think so," he said stubbornly. "I can wait."

"And if I win? What do I get?" she asked.

"What do you want?" Roy asked, regretting the words as soon as they left his mouth.

Her lips curved into a smile. "A favour in return that I get to name later?"

"I might regret this," Roy said as he nodded in agreement. "Of course, you're not going to win."
