Caritas, Wednesday evening

Jaina still wasn't exactly sure why she had this job, except it got the owner to shut up. And upon finding out there was going to be a wedding reception here (and hey, didn't she meet Deadpool? she had no idea he was married), she really wasn't happy. Regardless, she set up the best she could, considering she'd never seen what a party here was supposed to look like.

She was trying to think of it in terms like "If this doesn't turn me to the dark side, I'm doing pretty good."

He took a moment to just stand there with a cake covered face before wiping it from his eyes and nose.

"Aren't teachers supposed to be role models for children?" Fraser asked, clearly and completely teasing.

Since his hands were now completely cake covered, he reached over and wiped them on her shirt. A really good defense, you know.

Aly laughed and reached out to rub some cake in his hair. "Aren't Mounties?"

He tried to look up at his hair. All he could see was cake and more cake.

"Not according to your other self," he teased and flicked some cake at her.

She would have facepalmed, but, ahh, cake. So she stuck her tongue out at him.

"All of my other selves were just a hair off if you didn't notice."

"Really? I had absolutely no idea," he deadpanned. "I don't think I can let you forget that. I apologize in advance."

"You have an issue with fluctuating timelines ONCE and no one ever lets you forget it," she said in a falsely sad voice.

"Well, it's not everyday someone thinks a Mountie's actually going to mount someone," he said, snickering.

"It is a logical assumption," she pointed out, starting to laugh as well.

"Yes, very logical," he said, eyes wide. "I would most certainly trust a woman who's covered in cake. Oh, yes."

Her eyes widened too. "Covered in cake through no fault of my own!"

Fraser waggled a finger and said, "So, you're spreading the cake around, are you?"

"Yep!" She flicked more frosting at him.

"And how old are you again?" He didn't learn the 'never ask that question' rule.

She looked carefully sweet ~~pun intended~~. "How old do you think I am?"

Fraser looked thoughtful. "Seventy," he deadpanned. Might as well go with humor since that was better than guessing seriously and getting it wrong.

"You must know some very strange seventy year olds," she said, laughing.

"And now I know a cake covered seventy year old," he pointed out. "It's always good to know different varieties of people."

"Like different varieties of cake?" she teased.

"Exactly," he said, nodding. "For instance..."

He paused, bent down and picked up a chunk of cake. "Is this any good?"

Hi cake, meet Aly.

Fraser was probably lucky at this point that Aly knew she couldn't tackle him while in Caritas.

"I want you to know," she said lightly. "That the next prank I pull? May be aimed at a certain Hot Mountie."

"I almost think I should be thanking you for thinking I'm hot," he said just as lightly.

"I almost think I should be thanking you for thinking I'm seventy," she mimicked him.

"You're a very young looking seventy," he teased.

"I've preserved well, yes," she agreed, patting her face. "It's my patented cake mask."

"Would you mind terribly if I added to the cake mask?" he asked. Never hurt to ask.
