Come As You Were Dance, Community Center, Saturday Evening

Originally, this was going to be a much smaller event, but then Fandom had to be Fandom and Portalocity had to be Portalocity, and now Zoe was wondering if there would be enough food for everyone or if she'd have to get things from the local restaurants.

For the moment though, everything was set up nicely. There were tables and chairs set up with blue and gold tablecloths, each covered with glitter from years of use. There were balloons, streamers, and other slightly tasteful decorations, also covered in glitter from years of being stored with things that were also covered in glitter. Don't worry, no one had died from a glitter overdose yet.

Once the food was set out and the (non-tainted) punch was ready, it seemed like things were as good to go as they'd ever be. If things got too crowded, hopefully a fire marshal wasn't among the folks who had come back to town.

"You do it differently?" he asked, wondering why he was thinking about laundry now. He'd been thinking about such fun things just a few seconds ago.

Don't worry, he'd probably be thinking of them again soon enough.

"Of course, all the young women in the village, knee deep in the river, clad only in our underthings..." Isabela hadn't missed the work (which she'd been good enough at getting out of anyway) in Antiva, or whenever her mother had taken her somewhere they did things differently, but she had missed the view.

Bellamy's thoughts turned back around to something a little more pleasant at some of the mental images she'd helpfully provided.

"Still, I'd prefer other methods of losing clothing than dirty laundry," he told her easily. "I don't wanna do chores to see skin."

Then he was a man after Isabela's own heart. Loins. Whatever.

"But if you don't work hard what girl will want to lose her clothes around you?" Isabela wasn't talking about chores any more.

Unless he also considered that a chore, in which case there was no hope for him.

"Who says I wouldn't work hard?" he wondered, taking another pull from his drink and smiling at her. "But, I've found that most girls aren't too against losing their clothes around me."

He continued smiling.

"I tend to make it worth their while."

Which was why he spent his nights alone in the dark, cleaning his non-metaphorical weapon.

"I can see why they lose them the first time." Because he was very pretty indeed. "But worth it enough for a second time?"

That was a challenge there, Bellamy.

Hey hey hey, he just didn't know enough people to do anything else. Besides, he was cultivating his sensitive badass image, okay?

Bellamy leaned just slightly closer to her and said, "Once they lose their clothes the first time, I tend to do things that make them want to lose their clothes a second, third, fourth, and so on times."

He had a chance to get to know Isabela very well indeed, in case she'd been too subtle for him to figure that out.

"Promises, promises." Since he'd been kind enough to lean in, she reached up to try and brush a thumb over his lip, because personal space, what's that? "Can you do more things with that mouth than boast?"

His lips curved into a sly smile under her roaming thumb.

"I can," he promised. "You wanna find out all the things my mouth can do?"

Oh, Isabela liked that smile. "I thought you'd never ask."

That was a yes, by the way. Just so they were clear.

Bellamy finished his drink and set the cup down on a nearby table before nodding towards the exit.

"Come on, then," he said, already turning to get the hell out of his place. Maybe he'd even share some of the drink he had back at his apartment.

If you were nice, Isabela.

Isabela was always nice. Usually. When she cared to be. Or when there was drink and sex on the table.

"Right behind you, sweet thing." Because that was exactly the kind of booty a pirate liked to see.
