Anything But White Party - Stark Industries, Friday Night
The ballroom was once again set up for guests at Stark Industries, this time with a decidedly colorful theme for it. Where the color white could reasonably be avoided it was avoided: from the decorations to the lighting, to the food and drinks provided for the guests.
Because no one enjoyed a nice theme more than Tony Stark.
Steve strode across the ballroom and stared up at the new Chihuly chandelier installed over the dance floor. "When I suggested we switch out the art, I meant the kids' paintings," he said, pointing to the new, very colorful, pictures that had been blown up from construction paper size to 5 foot tall show-stoppers. "I still think the pictures of Princess Thor riding on the unicorn wins, though."

Re: Arrive and Mingle
"One can only hope."
Eliot would be delighted to attend a masquerade. Especially, as previously noted, one he and Margo wouldn't have to throw themselves.

Re: Arrive and Mingle
"If you like," Eliot agreed. "Though, sadly, based on anecdotal evidence I'd hypothesize the experiment will fail."
Eliot dressed like this all the time. And saw little to no increase in the fabulosity of the general public in response.
Re: Arrive and Mingle
Because men's fashion needed to try harder.
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"Ugh," Eliot groaned with feeling. "Why are modern men so afraid of color and pattern? It's a crying shame."
Re: Arrive and Mingle
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"Then they are giving sloth a bad name."
The sin, not the animal. Abigail gave sloths a bad name by inventing creative execution tactics for Fillorian traitors. It was totally different.
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"The other option is a lack of creativity."
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"I suspect that is the true culprit," Eliot said. He had no problem thinking himself more creative than his fellow men, but he was deeply lazy. (Not on Gray's level, but still!) "That and blah blah toxic masculinity blah."
Re: Arrive and Mingle
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"Alas, toxic masculinity has tremendous, multiversal reach. You should see how trashy it is back in Fillory. Margo and I have tried, but newly crowned royalty from another world can only do so much."
