Anything But White Party - Stark Industries, Friday Night

The ballroom was once again set up for guests at Stark Industries, this time with a decidedly colorful theme for it. Where the color white could reasonably be avoided it was avoided: from the decorations to the lighting, to the food and drinks provided for the guests.

Because no one enjoyed a nice theme more than Tony Stark.

Steve strode across the ballroom and stared up at the new Chihuly chandelier installed over the dance floor. "When I suggested we switch out the art, I meant the kids' paintings," he said, pointing to the new, very colorful, pictures that had been blown up from construction paper size to 5 foot tall show-stoppers. "I still think the pictures of Princess Thor riding on the unicorn wins, though."

“Proper ones, yes,” Watts said, making the narrative text.

“There is no upper limit,” Watts affirmed.

"Lucky me," Steven said. He looked hopeful. "Do I get hints on how?"

“Being your usual charming self,” Watts said. “Though I am also counting those moments where you very much look as if you wished to kiss me, but restrained yourself. That was the first one.”

"That's thoughtful of you," Steven said. "Have to admit I wasn't thinking to count those myself."

Granted that was because he was planning on kissing Llewellyn thoroughly when they got home. But Llewellyn remembering it on his behalf made Steven look at him in a way that suggested the total count was now three.

“And that’s a third,” Watts confirmed. “So you see, not difficult at all for them to accrue.”

Steven smiled at him. "Could I have a fourth simply because I'd like one?"

Watts pretended to consider this. “That is an acceptable reason,” he decided.

"Make it a fifth, then, because I'd like to give you another for it being an acceptable reason," Steven said. Then, of course to be polite, added, "Please."

“Mmm, remembering your manners adds a sixth,” Watts informed him.

"So if I say 'thank you' that's a seventh?" Steven asked, giving him a cheeky grin.

“Yes,” Watts said with a laugh. “That may be reaching a little, but as the person making the rules, I don’t care.”

Steven chuckled as well, always happy to see Llewellyn laugh. "I'd like to kiss the person who made the rules. They're very fair."

“Pandering to the judges now are we?” Watts asked.

This did not mean Steven’s request would be refused, mind.

"Hopefully not," Steven said. "That's a plural and there's only one person for me."

“Hmmm. Nine,” Watts declared. No, he hadn’t announced the eighth one out loud, but it was there all the same.

Steven chuckled again, rather enjoying this. "Is there a special prize for ten?"

“That is something you will find out if you reach that number,” Watts said, as if there were any doubt that Steven would at the rate he was going.

"Should probably do something special to earn that one," Steven said. "Nice round number and all."

“Anything in particular you had in mind?” Watts asked.

"Thinking about it," Steven said. "Don't want to rush it after all. Get it wrong somehow."
