Caritas, Wednesday evening

Jaina still wasn't exactly sure why she had this job, except it got the owner to shut up. And upon finding out there was going to be a wedding reception here (and hey, didn't she meet Deadpool? she had no idea he was married), she really wasn't happy. Regardless, she set up the best she could, considering she'd never seen what a party here was supposed to look like.

She was trying to think of it in terms like "If this doesn't turn me to the dark side, I'm doing pretty good."

"Right, I'll get it," he said, nodding. "As for it being their style, it's...very unique. And original. Very original. Did you do it all yourself?"

She laughed. "It's supposed to be over the top. It's part of the point. And yes, all me with the help of a very kind lady in Las Vegas who mailed me the negatives of their wedding pictures."

"You see now how very experienced I am in this sort of thing," he said, looking around again. "Deadpool is going to vow revenge on you, you know."

"I do hope he does," Aly said. "Seeing as this is in partial revenge for him hiring his entire class to prank me? I think he deserves it."

"His entire class?" Fraser gaped. "Did any of them succeed?"

"A few," she said, sounding less than thrilled. "One threw Molotov cocktails at me in class. In the Danger Shop though," she added hastily.

"Deadpool sent student to throw bombs at you?" Fraser asked, still gaping. "Doesn't seem like much of a prank."

"Oh, I stabbed him for it," Aly said casually. "The student went a bit overboard."

"...stabbed him?"

"Deadpool?" she replied. She paused. "I heard you fought him. Didn't he tell you he can heal from pretty much anything?"

"...no." He narrowed his eyes. "We fought once officially and the other time was him deciding to tackle me in the mud while I was working."

Aly tried not to snicker. She really, really did. "Hmmm. The fight may have been a bit more uneven than you were anticipating then."

"He cheated then," Fraser declared because that made sense to him, really. "He did compliment your skills before tackling me though."

"Aww, that was sweet," she said, grinning. "Maybe I can talk him into giving me back that knife now."

She looked around at the party decorations. "Or maybe not."

"Yes, I think you can probably forget about getting anything back from him after this," he said, laughing. "He's not going to send students to throw bombs at you for this, will he?"

"I'd be greatly disappointed if he did," she replied. "It's already been done. The essence of a good prank war involves ingenuity."

"Again, something I'm not very informed on," he said. "The RCMP tended to frown on that though that didn't always stop Ray. You really stabbed him?"

"I can teach you, young grasshopper," she teased, grinned. "And yes, a few times. Even though he kept the first knife I threw at him."

Yes, she pouted. Even though she had been the one doing the stabbing.

"...how many times did you stab him?" Fraser asked.

"Three. But he got better."

"Remind me to never upset you," he said and laughed. "I don't heal quite that quickly and being stabbed hurts."

"I'm aware," she said with a smile. "And I wouldn't stab you. I only randomly stab people who heal immediately."

"I'd hope to not upset you to the point of stabbing, quick healing or not," he said with a nod. "You know, I would've never pegged you for a random stabber upon first meeting."

Aly looked shocked. "Random stabber! Why, Benton, you do wrong me too much!"

She grinned. "Besides we were five when we first met."

"What? It's a very bandit-y type name," he said, laughing. "I thought it fit. I could call you...Stably?"
