Fourth of July BBQ Part 2, Galactica Point, 11 a.m. till ?

Anyone coming down to the beach to enjoy the holiday would find that it's been prepared for the perfect holiday celebration. There's chairs and umbrellas, sand and water toys, food, music, and volleyball nets. Wood has been stacked for a bonfire once the sun goes down and a sign is posted advertising fireworks at 10:00 p.m.

Come celebrate the Fourth of July!

River had never tried a boogie board before, but it looked fun. She grabbed one and headed out into the water.

Bart had no idea how to surf, but he was willing to try!

Taking one of the tubes and just sitting it and floating around near the shore was a perfectly good use for it, in Chad's opinion.

Aeryn isn't planning on staying here long, because last year that did not make her happy weather-wise. But still, she can be here for a while. It just might require some swimming time. No surfboards, though. Because really.

Karal was there, wearing the entirely unfamiliar black board shorts and t-shirt which Isabel had handwavily helped him buy yesterday.

Self-conscious didn't even begin to cover how he felt, and he looked between Isabel and Molly, trying to conceal his nervousness as he dipped a toe in the water. "Going in the ocean is much less worrying when one is on a horse."

Robin was there in weetiny swimsuit, and his brand spankin' new, weetiny surfboard. Now if only he knew how to surf.

Andrew looked at the waves with trepidation. He was decked out with an inner tube, water wings, and a snorkel. He grabbed a noodle for good measure and waded out into the water, inch by inch.

Anemone took a moment to boggle at the ocean. She was never going to get over the sense of awe she always felt at seeing so much water.

Then she saw the people with the boogie and surfboards. She watched them intently, trying to figure out how it differed from lifting and whether or not she could do it.

Throwing caution to the wind, she opted for a boogie board and headed out into the waves.

Okay, Pam was barely okay with the idea of waves, period, let alone the idea of trying to balance on something while battling them.

Charlie could swim-- in the community pool-- but she'd never actually gotten into the ocean before. Something comforting about it, though. She grabbed a tube, and lay back in it, letting the sun warm her as she lazed around in the water.

For a girl from the desert, Mary was very comfortable with a boogie board thanks to the wave pool at the Mandalay Bay Montecito.

Sokka tried to walk out onto the water, like he had been taught in ninja-ing class, but there was too much going on to really concentrate properly. So, instead, he splashed around in ankle-deep water.

As the sun sets, a bonfire is lit. There's s'mores fixings available for whoever needs a sugar rush.
