fandomtownies | Parents' Weekend Meet & Greet, Town Park [Friday Afternoon]

Barney was smart and had purposefully blocked all outgoing mail from Fandom to his New York City (sorry, no luck for you, Robin) and so could blissfully oversee the gathering of guests, students, teachers, and townies happening in the park. The day was bright and sunny, regardless of what any weather reports might claim.

The Student Council had done a nice job getting things together to greet the visitors. A wide variety of sumptuous food was spread out on long tables at one end of the park. In the center were plenty of comfortable blue and gold tables and chairs perfect for sitting, chatting, and eating. To the other end of he park was the registration table where visitors could sign in and pickup their name tags.

Just above the registration area was a gaudy banner announcing the start of a calm and relaxing weekend. Okay, a weekend where Barney got a lot of popcorn to listen to radio.

"Then it wasn't as nice as mine," Angeal said. "You're from Wutai?"

"Oh, I don't know. I think it's more in how you use it than how it's made." She wondered just how many innuendos she could throw at this guy.

"Born and raised. Why?"

"I've never had any complaints," Angeal said, mildly. "I don't suppose you know a Zack?"

It seemed like a fair-sized school, but Zack was hard to miss.

"..."

This guy couldn't be who she thought he was.

"The normal one, or the one who shouldn't be given sugar under any circumstances except for one that would involve purposefully giving him to the enemy in order to drive them insane due to his sugar-high induced over-hyperactiveness?"

Yes, she had to put it that way, just to see if this guy knew Zack."

"We call him Zack, the Puppy behind his back," Angeal said. Which answered both of her questions. "I see you've had the pleasure."

"Oh, you should see him at work. The dishes all adore him." Not really, but she'd say that to his mentor.

"He leads the fighter reserves, so we've all had the pleasure."

Angeal had heard all about the dishes. More than he cared to know, actually. Which, on the subject of dishes, was "very, very little."

"Fighter reserves?" he said. "So he's teaching tactics to his fellow students."

Including a Wutaian girl. Angeal had nothing against Wutaian girls, but considering they were at war currently, that was possibly not the cleverest of ideas.

"Along with Arthur and Leto, but Arthur is a bit... of an ass. And Leto... is very friendly. So, he sort of evens them out."

Not that Yuffie actually learned anything, it was just fun seeing what crazy ideas they came up with next. "Well, to the ones who need to learn. I think some of us just show up to watch."
