Winter Carnival | All Day | The Park | January 31 [Post #1]

It was a new day and there was no better way to start a new day than with the continuation of the carnival. There was still snow coating the ground but the atmosphere was as lively as ever. With cream-colored decorations and twinkling lights, the Student Council had aimed for a winter wonderland kind of theme, and the snow simply added to the effect. Thankfully, the day was turning out to be warmer, so those who were going to be outside all day wouldn't freeze. Once the finishing touches were done, the carnival was open for business.

Angela gave him a dirty look. "So should we give her french fries too?" she asked. "I mean, a potato's totally a vegetable."

Angela rubbed her forehead, confused. She knew Marty was trying to be serious and responsible, but ... her sense of humor hadn't been surgically removed when Abby was born, or anything.

"Yeah, I knew you were joking," she muttered. "Stay here. We don't get enough time together as a family anyhow. French fries won't kill her."

"What's with you?" Angela asked as she handed Abby a fry. "Did you try to dunk somebody and miss? It's a really nice day. Even if I know, like, three people here."

"Yeah, well I keep expect something to happen where Abby suddenly becomes a teenager and we end up with amnesia," Marty said looking around him to see if there was any evidence of that.

"I wish I'd gotten to see them instead of being stuck with my brain about to melt," Angela said mournfully.

Abby started to bleat for another french fry.

"I'm pretty sure they were sentient," Marty said picking up a grape and trying to distract Abby with spaceship noises. "They moved on their own. It was scary."
