Winter Carnival | All Day | The Park | January 31 [Post #1]

It was a new day and there was no better way to start a new day than with the continuation of the carnival. There was still snow coating the ground but the atmosphere was as lively as ever. With cream-colored decorations and twinkling lights, the Student Council had aimed for a winter wonderland kind of theme, and the snow simply added to the effect. Thankfully, the day was turning out to be warmer, so those who were going to be outside all day wouldn't freeze. Once the finishing touches were done, the carnival was open for business.

"Do already owe you something," she said after a moment. "Add it to that?" Not like she really thought she owed him anything for failing to give him candyfloss anyway.

"Works for me. I'm still looking forward to your cooking. I'll call this one in later." She didn't owe him but hell if he wasn't going to try and use it anyway. "Wanna go somewhere else? Before I actually do try to get you into the hot fudge sauce and all."

"You are not getting me in fudge sauce." That one she was adamant about. The owing she could let lie. Maybe he'd forget.

"Think I could own you on a snowmobile, though." She'd learned certain things from Tony, who could evade the police pretty effectively even with a coffin strapped to the top of the car.

It would take a lot for him to forget. He had a good memory when there was something good to remember.

"It's cute that you think that," Alex said, smirking and already turning them both towards the snowmobiles. "Let's see this owning, then. Come on."

Well, she'd try to own him on a snowmobile. It was a matter of pride.

"Should know by now," she said, content enough to follow his lead for now, "not to underestimate me."

"I'm not underestimating you," he said, reaching down for her hand to tug her along. "I'm challenging you."

There was a difference. And challenging her was something he did quite well.

"Doubtful," he said, tugging her along and smirking back at her, "but we'll see."

He'd let her have that confidence for the moment. And he'd just prove her wrong by beating her.

Seemed like a simple enough solution to him and a pretty good way to continue the day.
