April Fools' Dance, An Abandoned Warehouse, Friday Night
The first arrivals to the warehouse would have found nothing - until the lights went on, dropping many shades of glitter down onto the floor. The glitter would stick around all night, almost-but-not-quite clashing with the colorful decor, though it did not seem to incite any boykissy.
Even if one of the janitors definitely took a shot at using it as an excuse.
There was a karaoke booth set up in the corner, and the rest of the party environment looked chaotic and incredibly merry. Reds, blues, and yellows had been thrown together like a crazy man had attacked the place with some paint.
Welcome to your April Fools' Dance, children, adults, and alumni.

Re: Arrivals - April Fools
Raven liked Jono with his head where it was, thank you very much!"But what if I abuse my power and lure you with kisses to do things you did not intend to do?" Raven said. What, she didn't know. The most evil thing she might do would be make him late for work or something along those lines.
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
//Things like dress in a suit and pretend t'be social at some event where half th'bloody alumni from years past will be here, on top of th'usual riff-raff?//
Really, he couldn't think of much that he wouldn't do intentionally, given the proper motivation. Hell, he was here, wasn't he?
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
She glanced around at the people who were arriving. "But it is good to see old friends, is it not? I hope I do not startle any, however."
But even arriving alumni couldn't penetrate her being in denial about the rapidly approaching graduation for this year.
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
Actually, he hadn't really kept in touch with anyone, since they'd left. Jean. Kurt. And so on.
//You might manage to shock a few, but I think if anything, they'd be relieved t'know that yer fine now.//
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
"I am hoping that Mat and Sam will be here," she said. "And Dinah." Just so she wasn't naming all boys.
"Unless you are planning to keep my attention all to yourself this evening," she added with a teasing smile.
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
To allude to those wrappings that he'd had in his pockets earlier in the week, or not...
//Perhaps I'll have to claim you for myself once th'dance is through, instead.//
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
She'd have all weekend to catch up with friends. Right?
[Ugh, sorry so slow at times. STUPID WORK.]
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
Jonothon was so very subtle, wasn't he? Down, boy.
Raven should at least count herself lucky that he hadn't slipped anybody a fin at the coat check to scurry off for a while.
... Was there even a coat check? He was thinking on this one too hard.
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
"But since we are here, it would be rude to not at least say hello to some of our friends," she said. "Briefly."
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
See, Raven was totally speaking his language! And squirming. The squirming was certainly not helping the direction that his thoughts were veering, much.
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
They were creating a vicious -- or, well, not so vicious -- circle here, with his thoughts and her squirming. The more interesting the direction of the thoughts, the more squirming, the more the thoughts went that way. Not that Raven was complaining.
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
Unf.
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
"You are very hard to resist," she said. Her shawl slipped from her shoulders. "And now I find that I am very warm."
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
//Well, then... we reconvene again when you've seen whoever you can find?//
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
"You will be in the dark corners, will you not?" Because she knew Jono.
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
Rainbows on acid had vomited in the shadows, over there.
//I shouldn't be difficult to find.//
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
"Then I will go find my friends and see about arranging time this weekend to speak," she said. "I will try not to be too long."
Especially since it would be hard to focus on others with her thoughts wandering the way they were now.
Re: Arrivals - April Fools
Oh, that kiss was maddening. Clearly, what Jonothon needed was some quality time in the dark corner of the room, making faces at the punch that he knew had to be spiked, by now.
... It would help him behave, a bit.
