April Fools' Dance, An Abandoned Warehouse, Friday Night

The first arrivals to the warehouse would have found nothing - until the lights went on, dropping many shades of glitter down onto the floor. The glitter would stick around all night, almost-but-not-quite clashing with the colorful decor, though it did not seem to incite any boykissy.

Even if one of the janitors definitely took a shot at using it as an excuse.

There was a karaoke booth set up in the corner, and the rest of the party environment looked chaotic and incredibly merry. Reds, blues, and yellows had been thrown together like a crazy man had attacked the place with some paint.

And after talking to Luke, Nico had gone to find Percy. He had a fistful of glitter and a goal in mind, not that Percy would know this. "Hey cuz. What's good on the buffet tonight?"

"It's free food," Percy pointed out, glancing over at Nico. "Do you really care what's good when it's free and probably edible?"

"It's the probably that makes me ask," Nico said, sidling up closer to his strangely younger cousin. "Considering what people have been known to do to the drinks, who knows what's going on with the food." He wasn't really that paranoid, but small talk was required so he could get close enough to do Luke's dirty work.

"You think they're spiking the food?" Percy asked, slanting Nico a strange look. "You know it doesn't really work that way, right? If someone dumps beer on a sandwich, the bread's gonna get all wet and soggy."

Nico was glad he was already planning to torment Percy because wow, was he a moron. "Not with alcohol, no," he said, deciding he was close enough to bring his hand up to dump a handful of glitter on Percy's head. He intended to rub it in some, too.

"You freaking ass!" Percy exclaimed just as soon as he realized what had happened. And when he stopped trying to shake the glitter out of his hair like the glitter was going to catch fire at any time, he tried to take a swing at Nico. Freaking moronic cousin.

Nico's arm was up, ready to take the brunt of Percy's hit even as he snickered at the reaction. "Hey, I'm just doing what I was paid to do!"

"Who the hell paid you to do this?" Percy asked though he was almost positive he knew who it was. "You're a freaking tool!"

"I don't know if I should tell you that," Nico answered, backing away lest Percy start trying to shake off the glitter. "But uh, he did promise me cheese fries for life."

"I know who it was," Percy said, glaring hard at Nico and thinking about charging at him and just starting a fight in the middle of a dance. "You're a tool and he's going home alone. Take that back to him, why don't you?"

"Wow, this is not even that serious," Nico answered, sighing at Percy's complete lack of humor. "Passing messages isn't actually my thing, but I'll see what I can do."
