Caritas- Saturday before 8:15 pm

It was that time of year again! New people were here! New people to date, get to know, or perhaps make a mortal enemy of!

You never know.

Signs were hung up in front of the bar, both obviously, and easy to miss for anyone who might wander in and get signed up without their knowledge. Above the bar was a banner (in glitter):

TONIGHT!
THREE MINUTE DATES!
GOOD LUCK WBRURBODY

Your hostess wasn't gonna question it. And a few minutes before 8:00, she took the stage.

"Hello, everyone! And welcome to Three Minute Dates!" Kitty greeted them. "If you're new to this, the rules are simple. We call your name along with one other person. You talk to this person, get to know their likes, their loves, their dreams. After three minutes, a buzzer will sound-" Pause for the sound. "-and you'll hear your name paired with a different person. Et cetera. If there is anyone you'd like to talk to more, the bar will be open afterwards for drinks and conversation. Remember that any violence will get you transported into the pond, but also please don't attempt violence in order to flee, that is rude to the rest of your dates. Now I'm going to get off the stage. Have fun, and good luck..."

She trailed off, not going to attempt to pronounce the word on that sign.

Goose had promised Summer that he would take part in the 3MD and tell her how it went, so he took a seat at the table as he waited for the first round to begin.

Eric, and his huge Bloody Mary because he thought it was hilarious, sat down at the table. "Good evening."

“Good evening,” Goose nodded, trying to not feel awkward, he realised he should have brought his drink over, “I’m Shane Gooseman,” he offered, since he was pretty sure he hadn’t met Eric, well he also wasn’t old enough to drink at the other bar yet, “most people call me Goose,”

Goose was ..not really sure to be honest, half the time he tended to forget that his own name was actually Shane, “childhood name that stuck I guess,” he considered, “at the time there were a lot of worse alternatives,” he admitted.

"Worse than a loud, honking, obnoxious bird," Eric said, smiling. "The children near you were cruel."

“Pretty much,” Goose grinned, he had no trouble agreeing with that description of the other Supertroopers, especially when they were younger, “it’s not so bad really, half the time I forget it’s not my actual name, very few people call me Shane,” he admitted.

"You'd rather be an obnoxious honking bird?" Eric teased.

Goose grinned at that, “I think there are a quite a few people who probably think the name is rather fitting,” he admitted. “Well maybe not being an actual bird, I haven’t turned into one yet,”

Goose really had to stop saying things like that.

"Well, now you've just tempted fate, my friend," Eric said, laughing. "Good luck with that."

Goose blinked a bit, realising what he had just said and grinned, “Oh,” he said, “you’d think by now I would have learned to stop staying things like that?”

One of these days the island was going to turn him into an actual goose.
