Parker was humming along to the song, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/(Don't_Fear)_The_Reaper) finding it far, far too appropriate for Fandom High.

John was taking a breather, as this is a song that's a bit difficult to dance to, unless you do the Gothy Big Stompy Dance.

Rosette was trying not to pay much attention to the lyrics of this one...No emo tonight, dammit! But it was hard. ~~Needed more cowboell~~.

John would agree that it needed something extra ~~like more banthabell~~ like big black boots and a cape.

Seeing Parker on the floor, Peter came up to her. "I believe you promised me a dance, Yankee Queen?"

"I believe I did, English and Narnian King," Parker teased back, letting him take her hand, and start dancing along with the beat. "Your Prom is a huge success. Great job."

"High praise indeed," Peter replied as he started to dance. "May I just be thankful that next year, we don't have to do it again?"

"Sure, I was, this time last year," Parker said cheerfully. "Leave it to the next class to deal with, with relief and glee." She cocked her head. "Although, I do wonder what made you late to your own Prom?"

The question took Peter by surprise and he coughed, trying to cover the blush. "My clock broke," he lied, lamely.

"Reeeeeally." Because that blush was pretty obvious. "Mmmmhmmm. Did Willow's clock break too? She's so punctual, usually."

Angela grinned at the song choice. "That fits the place, doesn't it?" she asked.

"I'm kind of in love with it," Parker admitted. "Way, way too appropriate. And wow, your hair looks great tonight. Blonde is a good look for you."

"Thank Isabel for that," Angela said. "I realized it'd look better with the dress, so ... blond! I like the red on you, too."

"Thanks! And yay Isabel. She did as good a job with your hair as she did with the decorations and set-up. She totally deserves her tiara." Parker smiled. "And I'm thrilled Alanna got hers-- most especially for seeing her up there with Jack."

Angela grinned, touching her hair. "She about looked like she was going to faint when Mr. Lyman called her name," Angela said. "It's weird, Alanna is so brave about big stuff? But then something like this just throws her."

"I know, swordfights, evil magic, all good. 'Girly' stuff-- and she starts hyperventilating." Parker shook her head. "I wonder if she'll ever get over it. Ooo. Maybe I should ask Aly. Heh."

Somehow, the song seemed very fitting. So there was Stark, attempting to dance. And maybe it was the punch, but the dancing really wasn't so bad as he'd feared.

Parker was ... mostly not laughing. It was pretty good dancing, after all. "Go, Stark."

Stark shook his head and grinned a little at Parker. If mostly not laughing was the worst reaction he got, it would be a good night. And if it wasn't, well, it was all Tori's fault.

Jack led Irulan out into the dance, settling one hand at her back, the other at her waist. "Are you enjoying yourself?"

"Immensely," Irulan said, feeling a bit starry eyed.

"Oh good," he replied, cocking an ear to the music, then swooping her into a fast paced, swirling dance. "That's what you're supposed to be doing."

"I seeeeeeee..." Irulan held on to Jack's shoulders as he went on. Earth dances were faster than she realized.

"You okay?" he asked, slowing a little, but the tempo was pretty quick. Not that that had ever worried him.

"Yes," she said quickly, "I was just surprised," she smiled, "dances here are less formal than I am used to."
