Valentine's Dance; Town Hall; Friday Evening [8 pm - 10 pm]

Arrivals to town hall would notice that the Student Council took a darker approach to the decorations this year. The colors of the streamers, balloons and table cloths were in shades of dark red and black. Instead of cut outs of hearts and pictures of cupid, there were broken mirrors hanging on the walls, open umbrellas scattered about the room, fake cobwebs on the wall and glittery cut outs of the number "13" hung everywhere.

You even had to walk under a huge ladder in order to get into the dance.

Sure, they were tempting fate by having a Friday the 13th themed dance but this was Fandom. What's the worst that could happen?

[~~Wait for the~~ OCD ~~or so help me...I'll hurt you~~ is here! Up early because Natalie said so and to get the most out of play. Second part to go up later on tonight (tomorrow?) to save browsers and to spike punch]

"Thank you! And I am, I'm even getting into the theme of the night. A little scary, but awesomely cool. Are you having fun so far?"

"It took me a minute to work it out," Angela admitted. "I hadn't really clicked with the date."

"And I am. The night is young, lots to look forward to, right?"

"Everything to look forward to," she said, perhaps casting a glance in Liir's direction.

"Did you come solo tonight?"

"I did," Angela replied, grinning as she saw where Amber was looking. Aww! "But I fully intend to get dances out of a least a few people."

"And if you don't, I will totally dance with you," she offered. "But oh you will dance, I'm sure, with many!"

"I'm intending to need a whole notepad to keep track of them all," she said with a grin. No, she wasn't.

Amber laughed, clasping her hands together in front of her. "I knew it!"

"I'm so easy to read," she joked. "I should work on that."

"No you shouldn't," Amber said, knowing she was joking. "You're perfect. Unless something happened over the weekend and you were a badass other self or something?"

"Oh, no I was a distinctly not badass, normal me," Angela replied with a little laugh.

Amber clicked her tongue against her cheek. "So was Hannibal. If only I could have been normal too. But oh, well, no one died at least."

"Thank God," Angela agreed with feeling. It had been uncomfortably close to that on her part.

"You have no idea how happy I was to at least had Hannibal to hide out from the crazy with."

She snickered. "And that had to be nice. If I were single and you weren't here, not that I would ever wish either of those things oh my gosh, I would cozy right up to him and remain blissfully unaware of Fandom weirdness."

Angela laughed, nodding at that. "Sounds like about where I was at," she said.

"Some of the weird things around here, I'm perfectly okay with. Others..." she shook her head. "I'm all for the hiding."

"I wish I would have stayed in my room, under my bed, last Tuesday," she replied, nodding firmly.

"Admit something awkward?" Angela asked.

"Um. Not really. But I was told a lot."

She glanced away, at other mingling couples.

"This is going to be a great night."

Angela pulled a sympathetic face, and nodded.

"Of course it will," she said confidently. "Valentine's day eve, after all."

"Do you have plans tomorrow?" she asked.

Angela shook her head. "I considered the three minute dates, but--" she shook her head.

"You have something nice planned with Liir?"

She shook her head. "No, but I'm thinking about surprising him with something."

"Ooh, what sort of thing?" she asked immediately.

Look, she doesn't have plans herself, so she's living vicariously through other people. It works.

"Oooh, maybe candles, music, cuddling, dancing, great food, chocolate... a cute little something to wear." Hannibal gave her great ideas.

"Very nice," Angela drew out, smiling at her. "I'm sure he'll love that. Little bit of everything you could want."

"And perfect for Valentine's I think, or hope. Liir is so non-traditional so... I hope."
