Valentine's Dance; Town Hall; Friday Evening [8 pm - 10 pm]

Arrivals to town hall would notice that the Student Council took a darker approach to the decorations this year. The colors of the streamers, balloons and table cloths were in shades of dark red and black. Instead of cut outs of hearts and pictures of cupid, there were broken mirrors hanging on the walls, open umbrellas scattered about the room, fake cobwebs on the wall and glittery cut outs of the number "13" hung everywhere.

You even had to walk under a huge ladder in order to get into the dance.

Sure, they were tempting fate by having a Friday the 13th themed dance but this was Fandom. What's the worst that could happen?

[Wait for the OCD or so help me...I'll hurt you is here! Up early because Natalie said so and to get the most out of play. Second part to go up later on tonight (tomorrow?) to save browsers and to spike punch]

Merlin turned to adjust Arthur's suit upon arrival, keeping a nervous eye out for Francine. He looked a bit more on edge than normal.

Brooke was happily going stag tonight (going doe?) but that didn't mean she didn't think she looked fabulous. Pretend she made it omg.

Of course, she took one look around and wondered if someone had just had a bad breakup or something before remembering the date.

Buffy (http://pics.livejournal.com/iruinenglish/pic/000045re) wasn't that great with showing up alone, knowing she might end up playing wallflower all night before going out to patrol or something out of lameness, but she was making an effort. Maybe she should have gone back to Sunnydale for Valentine's Day, really.

Chuck actually kind of matched the whole holiday theme (http://photos.ed-westwick.org/albums/2008/GG%20S2/Promos/2x07/normal_GG207-0003.jpg). He planned that, of course.

He wandered in, raised an eyebrow at the decorations, and idly wondered if it was going to be him that would have to spike the punch. It wasn't like he didn't have the liquor on him.

Rosalie had kind of laughed hysterically when Emmett brought up the idea of showing up to a dance alone so he took that as a sign that she was okay with it. He liked to dance. He was pretty friggen awesome at it.

So he was there. Being tall and pale.

Turtle's favorite part about Valentine's Day was that people usually bought a lot of stuff for it.

She figured dressing up in a cute dress (http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3013356/0~2376776~2374327~2374331~6014149?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6014149&P=1) and hanging onto Jeff looking all nice for the dance was a pretty good second, too.

Firekeeper didn't have a date. She didn't even have Blind Seer; the wolf was even less of a fan of crowds as she was, and had none of the wolf-girl's fascination with music and dancing. She did, however, have a very nice dress (http://pics.livejournal.com/kestrelswolf/pic/0000dx23) in Kestrel House colors- pale blue with blue and red trim.

Francine might not normally have gone for such a bold color but it was Valentine's Day, right? Or, well, close enough. And if she looked like a doof, at least she'd kind of already alerted Merlin to that fact in advance. In case it wasn't completely obvious already.

Maybe concentrating on not ending up naked -- because seriously she was only one typical Francine catastrophe away from that even when she wasn't wearing clothes made of underwire and air -- would distract her from any nervousness about how she did look?

Holy god, Jen was actually here. By herself, and in her nicest Time Force uniform, but let's stick to the minor miracle of her actually being here under her own free will, okay?

Look, she'd almost morphed and showed up in her Ranger outfit because that was pink and the freaking faceplate on her helmet looked like a heart. The standard TF uniform was a better idea.

Jenny kind of wished she'd come up with this theme herself, but she couldn't argue with the execution. She was here alone and on the prowl, and, well, once one owned a red dress like this one who needed a new one?

Ender came in unobtrusively, wearing a dress uniform of no particular significance that had been stripped bare of anything approaching any signs, barring a silly little patch of a dragon.

It was nostalgic, for his standards, but he never felt comfortable in normal suits anyway.
