Valentine's Dance; Town Hall; Friday Evening [8 pm - 10 pm]

Arrivals to town hall would notice that the Student Council took a darker approach to the decorations this year. The colors of the streamers, balloons and table cloths were in shades of dark red and black. Instead of cut outs of hearts and pictures of cupid, there were broken mirrors hanging on the walls, open umbrellas scattered about the room, fake cobwebs on the wall and glittery cut outs of the number "13" hung everywhere.

You even had to walk under a huge ladder in order to get into the dance.

Sure, they were tempting fate by having a Friday the 13th themed dance but this was Fandom. What's the worst that could happen?

[Wait for the OCD or so help me...I'll hurt you is here! Up early because Natalie said so and to get the most out of play. Second part to go up later on tonight (tomorrow?) to save browsers and to spike punch]

"We're not really invited to a lot of them these days," Ben said. Her especially.

"That's a bright side," Jaina told him. "It means less ties."

"And less boring speeches," he said, brightening right up.

"See?" And then she sighed. "I need to go to fewer of those, I've heard far too many speeches lately." Granted, they didn't tend to be boring always...

"So you're winning, then?" Ben asked. "They don't tend to throw parties when we're not..."

"No. But from he way those not on the front lines are talking, you'd think we were." She waved a hand vaguely. "New government, everything seems to be about appearances right now."

"They excel at that," Ben said. "Regardless of who the new government is."

Something dawned on him. "Cal Omas is in charge now?" he asked.

Jaina nodded. "Newly elected and everything," she said, still not sure what she thought of that. She was also sort of bitter thanks to that whole Knighting ceremony though.

"Trust me, not a problem," Jaina said, a little confused. Though really, she took that tack with pretty much everyone nowadays.

Ben waved it off. "He's not a huge friend to the Jedi," he said. "At least in my version. He's a biiiiig fan of Cal Omas."

"That doesn't really seem like my version of him," she admitted. "He's been our biggest supporter at the moment."

Ben was really, really not going to mention what happened to his version of the guy. "Another difference," he said easily. "I'm glad that one's an improvement."
