Valentine's Dance; Town Hall; Friday Evening [8 pm - 10 pm]

Arrivals to town hall would notice that the Student Council took a darker approach to the decorations this year. The colors of the streamers, balloons and table cloths were in shades of dark red and black. Instead of cut outs of hearts and pictures of cupid, there were broken mirrors hanging on the walls, open umbrellas scattered about the room, fake cobwebs on the wall and glittery cut outs of the number "13" hung everywhere.

You even had to walk under a huge ladder in order to get into the dance.

Sure, they were tempting fate by having a Friday the 13th themed dance but this was Fandom. What's the worst that could happen?

"Thank you, Angela," Chuck said. He took a couple moments to blatantly check her out. "You look beautiful."

"Well, thank you," she said with a grin. Checking out was a complement in itself as far as Angela was concerned. "Looking very nice yourself."

"How's the shoulder feeling?" she asked.

"It's not as bad as it used to be, but I still have to be all careful and crap," Chuck said with a frown. He hated being careful. "How are you?"

"Pretty good," she replied with an accompanying nod. "This is my sort of night. I love it."

"I like this sort of stuff too," he said, smirking. "I wish this kind of stuff would happen more often. Back home we have stuff like this at least every week or two."

"I'm used to more than this," Angela agreed. "What you get for ending up in a high school on a little island, I guess."

"I should poke at Blair more often," Chuck paused and considered adding a "not dirty" to that but then decided that would just be a lie. "She knows how to throw a good party."

"Oh, she does," Angela agreed. "Puts the one party I've thrown here to shame."

"Don't feel bad about it. She can get kind of insane when it comes to that sort of thing," Chuck said. "I prefer just having an open bar and calling it a party. Themes aren't really my thing."

"Get enough alcohol into people and they probably don't notice if there's a theme or not anyway," she said with a laugh.

"Exactly," Chuck said grinning. "Eventually almost every party becomes "get drunk and hit on people" theme."

"Always entertaining, at least," she said. "Most things are more fun like that when you're drunk."

"So true. Which is why I'm surprised nobody took care of the punch yet," Chuck said. "I'm disappointed."

"I'm sure someone will get to that before long. A dance isn't really a dance until someone's spiked the punch."

"I'm tempted to take care of it myself but, dammit, I should let other people be the bad influence around here," Chuck joked. "I can't do everything myself."

"But you're so good at it," Angela laughed.

"I've had many years of practice," he said. "I should let other people have a chance to perfect their skills."

"I would've helped out but... not exactly space to stow a spare bottle of booze in this dress."

"Seeing as you look extremely hot in it, I'll forgive you," Chuck said, looking her over again. "Actually, I feel like I should be doing something to thank you for wearing that."

"You're an enterprising sort of guy," Angela said, smirking at him. "I'm sure you can figure something out if you put your mind to it."

"Hmm..." Chuck tilted his head as he thought. "How about a dance?"

He was going to suggest something dirty but he figured that it was too early in the evening for that.

Angela grinned. "I could definitely go for that," she said.
